  1. For someone who claims to be an "educator", I find that comment about "short buses" to be not only ironic, but totally offensive. You just showed your true colors.
  2. Well, while they are doing movies... let's consider an expose on B Hussein Obama's birth certificate and college transcripts. or, maybe, a tell-all of Slick Willie's days in Little Rock. Who do you think would play Juanita Broderick?
  3. Using that same reasoning, I suppose we should rewrite every textbook every year, because just maybe this one time, 2 + 2 doesn't make 4. Or that "I before E, except after C" isn't really what the spelling book meant. I'm sure you subscribe to the notion that somehow the US Constitution is a "fluid document", eh?
  4. ISIS has declared war on Western Civilization. In retaliation, Obama declared war on Hobby Lobby.
  5. If anyone has used a web designer for their website, I'm interested in comments? Cost, turnaround time, etc. Who?? I have a couple of sites now and they desperately need updating. I've got so much going on that I can't really spend the time required, so I'm thinking of finding someone to do it for me.
  6. The sound of a Browning HiPower chambering a round is strangely eerie, isn't it?
  7. As soon as you find someplace that is better than the American system, I know you will want to move there. Count on me to help you pack.
  8. Now, you know that textbook has absolutely no credence unless the forward was written by former Surgeon General Jocelyn Elders.
  9. Sarah Palin on the View? She'd be handing Whoopie her azz about like MrsHoward hands WellRead his azz around here. No contest.
  10. I have to wonder how long it will be before this thread gets closed, too. When WR starts getting his azz handed to him (again), the admins usually close the topic to cut their losses.
  11. I'm pretty sure that Tailing 101 teaches them to stay at least two car lengths off the bumper of the car they are following. This guy was on my bumper, no matter what lane or how fast or slow I drove.
  12. Sorry, I don't remember the name of the guy at Marietta Eye. He was eminently forgettable. The doc at LensCrafters at the Avenue is a woman...the only one there. I got three pairs of glasses at LensCrafters for less money than one pair at Marietta Eye.
  13. This story reminds me of something that happened to me a few years ago. I was in Marietta near the Big Chicken. I had a stop to make on Fairgrounds St. before I came on home. I noticed a guy following me on the South Loop, and when I turned onto Fairgrounds, he turned, too. I turned into one of the business parks across from the Marietta Daily Journal, and this guy turned right behind me. I parked and went into the business, came back out and got into my car and headed back out to Fairgrounds St. Looked in the mirror, and there he was, again, right behind me. Followed me up Fair
  14. No kidding!! It must really be hard to breathe when you have yer nose planted firmly in Obama's butt-crack.
  15. Hummh... I wonder which is worse? An AMERICAN-made diesel pickup truck with a bit of smoke or an America-hating leftwinger spewing manure via the internet? At least the stench from the truck dissipates in just a few seconds... Sorry, Ray-Ray....you lose again.
  16. The defining issue is whether or not the ownership of the company or university are conservative Christians. You would not have heard a word about any lawsuits if the company had been Apple or Microsoft. BTW, didn't a bunch of labor unions get "exempted" from Obamacare? No uproar there.
  17. I was talking to a friend the other day. He had bought his house out of foreclosure and it was, of course, a HUD property. He told me that because he did not have enough cash to pay off the property in its' entirety, HUD forced him to take a minimum down loan ( either 5% or 10% down, he didn't say which) and pay PMI of over $250/month He then said, because it was a Freddy/Fannie loan now, anyone who buys the house in the future will HAVE to go back with a similar loan and can NOT go conventional. Is that factual information? i.e.; once a Freddy/Fannie loan, always one?
  18. Hummmh. I wonder if this story would even be "news" if it weren't about a Caucasian conservative?
  19. As a parent of an adopted (at birth) son, I'd like to throw a few ideas out there. When he was old enough to know what adoption meant, I told him that "those other kid's parents had to take whatever came along and had to keep them. I got to pick you out." He felt wanted, I'm sure. When he got into his 20's he expressed an interest in meeting his (half) siblings who live in AZ and NV. I asked him if he was going to meet his birth mother who lives in AZ. His answer was " Why? She didn't want me, there is nothing about her that I want to have a part of or know about. You are my Da
  20. Well, since my great grandfather only had two brothers and no sisters, you are wrong. As usual.
  21. This is gonna get good.. If we can't have native American names, then just off the top of my head, The Braves, Indians, Chiefs, Redskins, and Seminoles are goners. And if we can't have indians, we can't have cowboys, either, so there goes Dallas and Oklahoma State. And in the interest of ethnic equality, Notre Dame is going to have to give up the Irish moniker. And then, when PETA gets involved with protecting all the animal rights, the Falcons, Cardinals, Orioles, Gators, Tigers, Broncos, and Bulldogs will be politically incorrect. And the atheists will certainly object t
  22. I was doing some on-line family tree searches for family born in the 1840's and 1850"s. My Great-Grandfather was born 4/11/1844, and his mother was born in 1790, which would make her 54 when he was born. Think about that. Consider the health care and life expectancy 170 years ago.
  23. Well, if we can't talk about midgets...can we talk about names of sports teams and helicopters?
  24. Why would a requirement to speak English be any different than having set work hours and specific break times and wearing uniforms and having a drivers' license and certifications and certain experience levels and a 1000 other job related necessities that an employer might have? There are many conditions to employment, and communication with customers and coworkers would be primary.
