Actually, the photo lab versions which I have taken numerous times are wooden "thimbles" that you line up onto receptacles. I've never seen a "paper" version. I agree that the digital versions are a bit more difficult because of the variations of the various screens. There is a visual color acuity test called "Farnsworth" which will tell you your actual color perception.
