  1. And who, pray tell, would be heartbroken if he were gone? I mean, other than him?
  2. I got it. Bottom line is that you think you can cure cancer with a band-aid.
  3. Going back all the way to Korea, where the USA stuck their nose in something that had no direct influence on our national interests. Some have blamed the Bushs' for the no-win policy, but from where I sit, the entire left wing "make love, not war" hippie influence that pervaded the country and LBJ has turned the American military into a paper tiger, at least administratively. The entire Joint Chiefs of Staff is severely testosterone deficient.
  4. It has to be a full moon or sumpthin'....never in a million years did I think I would ever agree with anything mrnn posted. Totally and completely, too. Maybe now the Pubster will pay attention, since one of his own kind has made the point many others have made. One can only hope.
  5. I just checked...it wasn't Lowrider. It was Rockysmom. Sorry, Low....
  6. To make it even worse...it's SENATOR Al Franken. Really.
  7. I'm only replying to this because Dana happened to quote you. Otherwise, I'd never have seen it because I have had you on IGNORE forever. I guess tongue in cheek sarcastic humor is too much for you to comprehend.
  8. Isn't it a woman with a large gelatinous ass?
  9. I get it...you have decided to have an excruciatingly s-l-o-w implosion. I've never ever been on the top 20 poster's list, I'm sure. I have much more important things to do than inflate your "numbers".
  10. That's 150 people at the noon hour. And about 20% of them are paid members. And right now, there are almost the same set of numbers. Those numbers are not in any way enough log-ons, hits, whatever, to generate any significant advertising revenue. Hell, I was gone all afternoon and stayed logged on. Wonder how people like that affect the REAL numbers? You can modernize the board's software, change web hosts, do all those things and you won't change the overall participation .00001 percent. Worthwhile content and not having to sift through 8 tons of manure from a certain
  11. The cost of operating a message board is one thing. From an outsiders' point of view, the problem has been generating ad revenue. Unfortunately, the reputation of the site has been seriously damaged as you pointed out. The advertising revenue has been difficult to generate because the larger nationally based companies in this marketplace (restaurants, department stores, etc.) have a more broad approach. Middle size and small local businesses who have an advertising budget have to make every dollar count, and when the owner and a few of his on-line cronies insult and degrade the
  12. And all that was done without a bit of gun control.... Who woulda thunk it?
  13. My take on all this goes back, somewhat, to the Dr. Spock theories and the academia of not rewarding excellence and the overall dumbing down of America. When those who are motivated see their accomplishments diminished when those in "control" reward the stupid and the unmotivated, surely the frustration builds within them. Why even try? And then, the flip side. Those who get everything handed to them in school and on the sports fields have no idea what it takes to actually succeed. And then they meet up with real life, and it's not the day at the beach all the NEA minions h
  14. I've had a couple of face to face conversations about this very topic with the Pubster. Pubby told me point blank that he was not going to deal with the problem, because he "feels sorry" for TP. And the whole free speech thingy. I pointed out to Pubby that TP's right to free speech ends where my ears start. Then the conversation went to putting TP on "ignore", which I have had done since my first week or two on P.com. Which I suspect a vast majority of people have done. I would never know what the fool says if people would stop replying to him with quotes. Hint, hint.... I
  15. Tell us something we didn't already know.....
  16. Or, maybe we could just move the source over to the Porta-Potty where it belongs?
  17. Sorta like Jehovah's Witnesses on the internet, ain't it?
  18. Incongruent. University employee and Honda Element equals liberal in capital letters. Bet we won't hear much about gun control on this one....
  19. Diarrhea of the mouth combined with constipation of the brain is never a good combination. And when Drambuie is used as a laxative, the results are what we see here...all too frequently.
  20. Former Sheriff Bruce Harris (who was GSP previously) instituted that "policy" for two reasons. 1. any tickets resulting from accidents needed to come from a "neutral" agency, in order not to piss off the good ole boys who might carry a grudge into the next local election. 2. to smooth some ruffled feathers at GSP because he "abandoned" them for elective office. Harris himself told me that. There was a fatal accident about 3 houses down the road from where we used to live, and Bruce was on scene. We were chatting and he said that he wished GSP would hurry up get there...and t
  21. I think you just answered your own question.....
  22. The year's calendar of 365 days started in about 45BC. Please tell me exactly how many sunrises (the dawning of a new day) went into the "year" of, say, 100BC? Or 1000 BC? What if one of those "years" were comprised of, oh, 5000 days? 'Cause, you know, those prehistoric men really weren't on any stringent time schedules.
  23. I guess perfection is relative? I'd much rather believe Nitro's comments on things than ones coming from drunks, nasty dispositioned dog-mom's, and uber-liberals.
  24. I think he's now Secretary of State, isn't he?
