Was thinking of you this day and sending prayers...

It has been quiet here ( Hiram Sudie, near Davis Mill ) for all night. The only rain was brief and spotty about 7 pm. Cicadas are playing the "zip violin concerto", and no wind is around, so I am not expecting it will change too much.

Are they going to be opening up ( meaning adding lanes to... )the section of Bill Carruth at 92 all the way up to to Hiram Sudie at all? And will they be FIXING that specific intersection at BC and HS so the INCREASED traffic flow from 278 during peak times doesnt cause an increased accident rate at that intersection?

They are riding wheelies on Ridge and Dallas Nebo and Bakers Bridge

Here is my take on it ( I may have it wrong) You have a design for an object, you put that design into a 3D printer, and the 3D printer delivers the object to you? Obviously I am putting it at the lowest form of explanation, but all the technical stuff I got lost in!

Butterfly Caterpillars On Wild Passion Flower Vines
wenfen replied to ButterflyLion's topic in RECENT TOPICS
My backyard is full of passionflower and butterfly bushes, so I have both larvae and adults! I counted about 20 caterpillars that I could see ( I am sure many, many more )and the adults were fluttering about everywhere. Thats the backyard. In the front I have the large swallowtails all over the 3 butterfly bushes in front of our house. I planted all the bushes intentionally, as well as 2 kinds of butterfly weed, as I plan on increasing numbers and types of them. -

What a great thought, Mrs.JR . I am one of those who drive all over Paulding for my work! HOPEFULLY- if it does head our way, it will even go down to a tropical depression, which might help a little bit with the amount that we would get. I think it would lessen the wind factor also..

Current forecast- SUBJECT TO CHANGE from National Weather Service ( NOAA )
-
Here it begins( I have always wanted to begin a weather thread on here.) NOTE:::: This thread doesnt need any political arguments and nastiness when the RNC Convention comes up on this thread ( Obviously the topic of Tampa/convention effects will come up, cant get around that, due to hurricane track)Just make your OWN thread on being gleeful about it, thanks in advance, or if you HAVE to type something-just use one of those NINJA smiley faces, but dont write anything. We will TRY not to take the bait and therefore turn the thread into a political fightfest. ANYWAY- I go from Accuweather, to

No, no, I am not miserable- I was when I first moved here, leaving all my family and friends behind, 18 hours away.It felt like a different world, but I began a business, and made friends- I am happy to be here at this point in time. I We go out and do things, and socialize quite often. When I say " transplant ", you must understand that I have been a transplant many times- from PA to NH to RI to VT to GA in the past 20 years. I have a sign on my wall that says "Bloom where you are planted" , so thats where I come from when I say that. ( Also I am a gardener ). This is " home " for now, and th

I am more or less just trying to get a feel of other ( transplants ) experiences and thoughts. It's good to hear there are some transplants that LOVE it here! That means that there are a certain amount of people who will stay a long time and help the local economy. I just couldnt help but wonder what would happen if all the poeople who came here during the "boom " time, either leave now or within 15-20 years would it become a problem economically wise. Also the voting thing- I read some of the local politics info and forums, but I just dont get a feel for anything that I am especially strong o

Yup! Pizza Farm! Is that still Paulding County or not?
-
Paulding is fine for now, it is where we can afford to live while hubby works in ATL. Every transplant is different- some have children, some dont. Some are midwesterners, some are Yankees, etc. Some do not attend church or are not connected to religion. Some have jobs that keep them unable to make too many connections, because of work hours, commute, etc.

One day, hubby, daughter, and I went way up by Coots Lake- then near that restaurant ( I forget the name ) That is pretty out there..
-
I can understand! I will forever remember the ballparks here- as they are the only ones I will have memories of! Not the prettiest, but definitely strong happy memories!
-
Just trying to think of what stands out in my mind as something so pretty in Paulding County, I would remember it, and try to describe it to people, if I ever did move from here.
-
If you ever plan on having children, you need to leave him before you get pregnant. Its one thing to decide for yourself to choose that- but that is not the responsible thing to do for a child. Spoken from a child of an alcoholic mother.

Sounds good! PUBBY?

The reson I say this, is I feel the same way as most here- my husbands job is in ATL, so we are here unless something changed with that. My business is also based here, so thats also a large factor. But to see us retiring here in 15 years- I dont see it. If all the people left that dont have any attachment here, what would Paulding look like in 15-20 years?
