RM, Thank you- I will have him through the day at least, because I have to leave on my sitting rounds now, until about 4 pm. Ok, fair enough, and you have a point. I am amazed at the number of dogs that run loose in the streets down here in the south- up in New England that is very, very rare to see. When I see a dog jogging along the side of a residental road, I dont worry like I used to, after seeing it so much. Its when 3 or 4 cars swing the oppposite direction and come to a stop because the dog has NO clue, and is swinging back and forth between cars on a curve going towards a down hill. Thanks for the vote of confidence- I am really upset by that comment that was made-I'm trying to get beyond it. I want to really lash out at that poster, blast them a new one.....Working on self restraint....time will tell. Wow- way to make someone feel rotten . I am a former ( worked 20 years ) vet tech, who has rescued countless animals from different situations, some strays, some cats and dogs that owners left at the animal hospital and never paid bills, so I paid for surgery, meds, etc, THEN TOOK THEM ON. Good topic. I think it should be legalized, and I still, at the same time, have reservations about it. The following is just my wonderings and thoughts and opinions, I dont have any hard fact to back it up, so I wont argue it. Just throwing stuff out there for discussion, I guess.... Years ago ( early 1990's ) at the vet clinics I worked at, they would do the " quilt " on both sides of the ear flap, and we would use a piece of ear flap shaped xray film as well, and put that on the top ear flap of the shaved ear, then suture it down. The xray film would come off at first recheck, as a quick suture removal one of us techs did, after vet ok'd it. I have also seen vets use a small biopsy punch to make drainage holes in very large hematomas ( in the back rooms we staff called them "hema-tomatoes", for the mess they made when worked on! )

So as to clarify, I am a big proponent of letting others in ahead of me who seem as they are driving "thoughtfully" ( i.e demonstrating decent driving manners) and I will let in all who need to get in. Save PBS or begin getting tough on trying to bring down our debt, little bit by lotta bit. Times are tough,and therefore require some unpopular choices.We can live without PBS. Its an EXTRA (not absolutely needed), and could be reintroduced when things improved down the road.
