More power to you. As for me, I dont mind jumping on to NWS and NOAA and Accuweather, and Weather.com, and the local tv/radio stations as severe weather approaches. Prior to that I enjoy reading topics on talkweather, and hearing and reading things from WGW. I am one of THOSE people... Thank you for what you do, WGW!!!!

Purple? Purple? You must be off your rocker, dear heart!! Purple of the Barney, purple of the Gras, purple of the Ravens, and Purple of the heart. Purple cabbages, purple muscle cars, Purple Rain, purple sunsets. purple jelly beans, purple Easter eggs. Purple robes of Clergy. Purple dressed drag queens, purple dishwashing liquid. Purple fuzzy socks. Purple candles. Purple nail polish, purple gemstones. Purple flowers and purple pottery. Isnt there a "little purple pill"? Purple grapes and purple lingerie. Purple construction paper and purple finger paint. Purple cocktails. Purple jelly. Purple

1) TAKE OUT THE MACHINES 2) If you fall for the thought that dried fruit and granola bars are nutritionally helpful, more so than a candy bar, you very well may have a point IN SOME CASES. With that said, its RIDICULOUS to say granola bars are helpful with obesity- THE MAJORITY are loaded with oils, fats, sugars, etc. And SOY. Say what you will about soy, but it is a very fattening thing!! The sugar amounts in dried fruit are concentrated many times over.

Everyone, I believe, enjoys music! Whether it's classical, opera, bluegrass, country, techno, top 40, dance, rap, "classic" rock and roll (from different decades 50's through 2000's?)could have its own subforum! , thrash, metal, easy listening, new age, disco, folk, funk, holiday, polka, big band, blues, patriotic, music from different cultures, etc, etc. Subforums could be done up in those ways. Concert memories people have are (usually) fun memories. Certain music evokes different memories, that could be a subforum. Musicians are important to communities, and shouldnt be left out- there sho

Once I was nearly broken in two....and I survived. Listened to Sarah McLaughlin, Alanis Morrisette, and the Dixie Chicks over and over. Leaned on my best friend in the world. More like she picked me up and carried me. I always tell her I can never show or tell her enough how meaningful what she did was. I also found out later that before my mother died ( and that was happening at the same time), she asked my friend to take care of me for her...I kept going because I had a little 3 year old daughter that needed a mother...

Anything from the infamous Fleetwood Mac " Rumors " album....I listened to that cassette EVERY day riding the bus to school during the early 1980's...It helped to have my walkman on with the headphones, because on that same bus was my ex-boyfriend who was extremely popular , very good looking, and very outgoing.... Any of the Genesis or Supertramp stuff from the 70's also

We went there because we had family visiting from out of state, and it was both my husband and my brother in laws birthday celebration. We dont routinely go out to eat at places that are semi-pricey. (Not that I need to explain it.) Both of them are history fanatics, and it was fun to watch them enjoy the surroundings and atmosphere...

57th Fighter Group Restaurant has good food and it is next to Dekalb Peachtree Airport . I wouldn't really say that you would want to take younger kids there, because it really doesn't suit them, menuwise or atmosphere wise. It is modeled after an old farmhouse during WW II, complete with sandbagged walled entryway, and Winston Churchill giving a radio address in women's bathroom. Lots of actual photos. Not cheap, bit not crazy expensive.A La Carte menu.Food is wonderful! Also a bar, lounge and they have an outdoor patio as well. You can watch planes from wherever you sit. Nice place!! ****C

I started the Thanksgiving holiday with a nasty head cold. The cold more or less left me after a week. However I have been left with a incredibly exhausting cough. Maybe it is whooping cough, I dont know. The Dr. prescribed cheratussin ( some anti-tussive with codiene) so I take that at night ,it helps about 4 hours. I wake up with coughing spasms like someone trying to run water from a faucet down into my lungs. The mucus is runny,so its a post nasal drip doing it. Meanwhile, I have ( at least ) pulled muscles or costocondritis on both sides of my chest, underneath the breast area. I also a

Rocky's Mom---He was ( and IS, I am sure!) SO full of himself for such a young kitten! I have never known a kitten that would come out from between two dogs, walk through them like they were in his way, jump up on the back of the couch and stretch himself out as long as he could, and fall asleep there! occasionally opening one eye in disgust if we laughed at something on the TV!

They named him...get this... ELVIS! And they send pictures of him to me.. Little scampy butt! He made us laugh- what a funny little fella!

Maybe "fighting" was not the optimal word here. I will say that there was some angst and miscommunication. Sometimes being overtired and being sick brings out the very best in people. My husband is generally proud that I do care, and is more than understanding about me try to make a point of doing one rescue a year. This situation happened, its there, I am doing the best I know how. I have donated plenty of time and money, dont worry! Ease up on the " actually takes effort " there, because you sound judgemental ( not fact based) rather than LOGICAL- and its plain to me that you pride yoursel
