  1. Thanks RM! I am learning the jargon a little at a time. TIG stands for Tungsten Inert Gas, I am pretty sure. I guess that's the gas they would use in the torch? There is MIG too, but I haven't looked that up yet! I will check out your possible lead!! Thanks again!
  2. A very good family friends' son ( like a son to us ) is moving here from VT on Saturday, and we have offered him a place to live with us while he looks for work. He would like to continue with welding, and go further in it.We have been close with this family for years and years I know his background, work ethic, etc, and am willing to put my own business and personal reputation out there to vouch for him. He has a year experience in welding so far, which would have continued had the company ( Kiosko ) not had layoffs. Prior to that he worked as a McDonalds crew chief, and also at a bowling all
  3. How come under the "reasons for assessment notice " it says " ownership change in part or whole. Market value update"
  4. Ummm... NO. Lets see- my story. Living in Vermont. Long time New Englander, encompassing New Hampshire, Rhode Island, and Vermont. Born and bred outside of Philly. Never had even been to " the South", before 2006. Hubby at the top level of where he could be in the position he was in, and we lived far up enough in the Vermont mountains that choices were limited. He was offered a job in ATL. We had a 10 year old daughter. We needed an affordable home in a relatively safe area about 45 mins from ATL. Guess where we were directed to. And here we are. "WE ALL" were not the people who sold land to b

WOWWWWWW. Ignorance rears its ugly head. "You all" hear me ?
  6. Of course the Movie Studio in Hiram is a success- just for the ones who MADE MONEY for themselves with the project from beginning till END> ( basically the money stopped for them when it was complete). So now it is no different than an a completed unsold home in an unfinished subdivision. Wait till the weeds grow up, the building sits empty, and trash collects there.
  7. Yep-much better idea to let him pick his own out, if I do decide. Time will tell. He has to be a really good fella! LOL!
  8. Happy 31st to you and hubby Find Something! Thanks for the input so far, that's exactly what I was hoping for- NC-17- you are absolutely right, thank you! Sometimes you get excited about an idea, and yet its still important to bounce it of others to get some input! Appreciate both sides, those saying " yes" and those " hold off, save the money"
  9. Ok, our daughter leaves for college in the fall ( sniff, sniff ) and we have our 25th wedding anniversary in October. Seeing as hubby and I need to develop the typical " new interests " together, now that our only child is busy with college and her new life there. We have some interests that we share, and others we don't. Hubby's dream was always to have a motorcycle. I am thinking of getting a used bike ( new is out of the question) not fancy or anything, and surprising him with lessons and "the bike" when we return from our anniversary trip to New Hampshire for fall foliage enjoyment. Now I w
  10. ~~jumping up and down~~ I said a few months back that all eyes and attention was on airport issue, all energy and concern was being directed there from all sides. Keep your eyes open folks, because something is telling me that we will be hearing about something soon that may be bigger than airport. ONLY a hunch- I have no SOLID proof!
  11. LOLOL! My hubby needed beer and contact lens multipurpose solution, and bananas! Then my 17 1/2 year old daughter called and said she might have 3 girlfriends that could possibly sleep over for the next two or three days---I said WHA??????? PANIC set in! Chipsdipsodaburgersrollscookiesmorewatertunafishsalsapeanutbuttermoremilk2morepkgscheesepaperplatesplasticcupsplasticsilverware And while I am all kerfuffled in Ingles, she shows up there, clothes, makeup, and hair all done, looking ridiculously put together, and asks for money for gas so they can go look for prom dresses....

I am on GA navigator but I suck at this... He left ATL at 430 pm
  20. I have no beef ( No sugar? LOL! ) with you on the addictiveness of sugar in any form! Unfortunately my own intake was rigidly controlled as a child for the same reasons, therefore producing a sugar craving/junkfood craving adult. Everything should be in moderation. I need to find and post for you my mothers (Born 1926, died 2002) handwritten letter to her sister in the mid 1950's describing her take back then (which is all the same as that you have posted as examples) as to what we were putting into our bodies. She describes/bemoans the commercials for sugared cereals, etc....
