Thanks to both of you...I want to feel better soon! My daughter has two friends over, and they are bubbling with excitement ( stayed up all night) about tonight!

Not feeling that great, and I have plans tonight. Looks like I will be designated driver and will be drinking.....warm milky hot tea! ( helps with Montezumas revenge..) Happy New Year to all!

Sounds to me like they should have written the script for how they wanted you to answer. What they are failing to realize is that you can disagree with someones choices, and still be supportive of them. Not everyone will share support if they dont agree with you. Maybe they arent secure enough with their own decisionmaking, but are too much in denial to recognize that....

If you can get a chance to see these, I dont think they will disappoint you!!! Hiram Sudie Road to Hiram Way ( aka Wisteria Way subdivision, but the subdivision sign is pretty blocked by trees ) Take Hiram Way until you get to the second stop sign, thats the entrance to Barrington Farms. Drive in, 1st right is either Prince Lane or Prince Road, take that, then its your first right off of that road. Beautiful!! 4-5 houses all next to each other do wonderful displays, and you drive under a sign that is all lights and says " Winter Wonderland". My hubby and I walk to it ( we live in the Wisteria W

Hubby and I went to Mellow Mushroom tonight, and sat up at the bar , each had a Dogfish Pumpkin Ale (Free pint glasses to go home with) I had the Italian half grinder, he had half meatball sub. Mine was great! It came as an open sandwich with spring mix on top, and balsamic viniagrette on top of that, so it was like having a mini salad first, then I folded the sandwich up and it was great!Melted provolone with stil some of the viniagrette on it, and pepperoni and salami, but not too much, so it wasnt over-oily. The bread was either wheat or Frech, I opted for the French, they lightly toasted i

I am not saying there is anything "wrong" ( or right) with what is happening in regards to CMA's choices ...merely reporting what I am observing. I DO think that either Wynonna spoke before thinking how it would sound to others, and admittedly, thats giving her the benefit of the doubt. It sounds like sour grapes. I dont necessarily think ( however, I may be wrong)that it came from such a place. I think maybe she may have thought it was too much, too soon, and wouldnt it be a shame if she burned brightly and fizzled out before doing much more...But again,I may be too open minded...

Being 40 something, I obviously am past the point where I can relate to TS lyrics, however, I have an almost 14 yr old daughter who enjoys listening to her occasionally ( and believe ME, I would prefer she listen TS or Miley 24 hours a DAY, rather than the dehumanizing demoralizing rap that occasionally attempts to fill our hallway) ANYWAY, it is all about the youth today, even more so than 10-15 yrs ago. They have more clout, more buying power, and that is what speaks loudest. Is she talented? Of course she is! And young and beautiful. Advertising dollars go that direction ( Remember Carrie U

Airplane tickets to Philadelphia for New Years......I have no family here in Ga other than my hubby and daughter. I miss my family something awful...especially during the holidays.

FULLY agreed! I dont remember any hot looking male country singers when I was growing up...? We would be talking 1970's... And I was very impressed with Sugarland-wow- what a voice!

Faith Hill is one lucky woman!!!!

....so I admit to becoming more of a country music fan ( should that be capitalized? ) in the past three years. It has grown on me. Anyone else?

I have to jump in on this one! I would like a pair while walking dogs in all this rain- currently I have about 8 pairs of crocs( some with holes in the top, some solid topped ) Fall is a DASTERDLY time to be in peoples backyards with their pooches, because happy patties/ tootsie rolls come in every color that match FALL LEAVES! Laugh as you will. Hazards of the job. Anyway, the backyard has to be crocs, just in case, so I can escape out of them by the backdoor!! ( I carry several pairs with me)But when it is pouring, I like to keep the bottom of my pants dry- so these boots would work better.

I actually had it mixed up- it's a Tim McGraw song "She's My Kinda Rain" ...

Isnt there a country song named , or has lyrics that say " Blame it on the rain..."

I know, I shouldnt complain when the weekend we just had was beautiful...its just that I was happily forgetting what dreary, sloppy, drippy and yucky weather we have recently had..( remember Halloween night?)ah, but IDA is coming to visit with her lovely tropical moisture.....

We will be dropping daughter and friend off at Stars and Strikes, then my hubby and I were thinking of Jim N Nicks. Originally we were thinking of trekking into Atlanta, and as the evening wears on, we feel too tired to make the trip. So a wild night (Haha) at JnN will have to do!

If so...I want to wish you a Happy Samhain for tomorrow!

Another concerning, if not frightening, issue is that it will be only a select few people who decide what and how to further this ( Not, IF, because you KNOW the pushing off all ethical boundaries WILL be furthered) and how and what they choose will obviously be to something that is what fits their own agenda. It will be differently handled by different countries, races, religious groups, political parties, depending on what they deem correct. THEN it will really become interesting.

That is wonderful to hear!

Everyone has different things or people that inspire them. It may change during your lifetime, it may be more than one thing. It may be as simple as one thing, or maybe it is fairly complicated or multilayered. I am just interested in hearing your inspiration! You can provide background or details to it if you wish.....
