  1. Not sure if this post might end up in the "Religious forum" or "Political forum". I see and understand that he is deeply convicted in what he is doing. And he has some valid positions. I watch him occasionally during the week. Sometimes I come away afraid for our future as a nation. Sometimes I walk away, shaking my head, thinking " He is overboard today".
  2. The best car buy we ever made was our Honda CR-V (preowned 2002 model) in 2004. Bought it when we lived in Vermont. I was bound and determined to make the best purchase we could, studied Consumer Reports like mad, talked to other CR-V owners (VERY happy with their CR-V's!!)and paid for the VIN fax to be sent to us. Went ahead and bought it. No complaints- we still have it, 190,000 miles, still loving it!
  3. ( I originally believed this was a " housekeeping " speech not much to worry about- I was mistaken. This IS a " This is how things are..." type of speech- ..... Hang on- it may be a bumpy ride........
  4. .. with us trending downward, even the mention of him speaking is probably making investors jittery today.....
  5. As I said, my father was a WW2 Vet. He also suffered in the Great Depression. His father built their home from scratch in 1927-28, my father was about 11 years old at the time, the eldest of the 3 boys, was obviously the "gopher", and his right hand helper. I know he learned his carpentry skills alongside his father building that home. Then came the Depression, and they lost the home my grandfather built from the ground up, with his own hands. (That home still stands proudly today, by the way)My father excelled in school his entire life, and after graduation went to Perdue University first, th
  6. I just wrote a lengthy post, not quite done with it, and hit a wrong button, it went to the black hole of wrong button hitting. Gotta love it. Try again... Sept 11th- affected me to where I feel a deep sense of sorrow/disbelief each year on the anniversary. I feel nearly sick the entire day, much like the day it happened. Being fairly close to NY at the time ( We lived 3 hours away in VT) was really nerve-rattling. I have made a commitment to go to the Mt. Tabor memorial each year, feeling that is what I need to do. Patriotic? I suppose it could be labeled as such. I just know there is somet
  7. I read the posts, the replies, and I want to ask people, "What does being an American mean to you ( personally )?" I am just asking this question of myself more and more lately, and I am searching for something out of all my pondering, I am not quite sure exactly what it is yet. I watch CNN and Fox both. My father was a WW2 Veteran. What is a " patriot " to you? Or is that just an outdated term? Do we, as Americans have a duty ( and what are those duties?) to take care and protect our country? I will be honest with you, I never thought about these things in my younger years. The more I see all
  8. THIS is what I hope heaven looks like..............................................
  9. Just to try it out....no offense to anyone, just a necessary move, and I'll return in the late winter! Meanwhile I will be just a regular member.
  10. I am sitting here, credit card in hand, trying to access the place to renew my business account- cant locate it! My account expires Aug 11th- so I want this done soon! I have to leave for sits right now- but I will be back this afternoon to check! Wendy
  11. Yay!Thank you! I knew Pcom would come through for me! Ok, on to my next curiosity.......
  12. the gas station on the corner of Scoggins and 61? ( Where McDs is) . I often see it there (was there today), at the same gas pump, for hours, sometimes days. I just figured it was to block a certain gas pump that might be empty? THEN I see it at the gas station on 120/92 ( across street from Stars and Strikes, same side of street) and it is the SAME situation- sits there for hours or days. So I say to myself, " well, maybe both gas stations are owned by the same person?" Just ODD, and I wondered if anyone else noticed. This has been going on for nearly 6 months..that I know of.
  13. This has never happened to me before with Pcom, and I have been here since 2006, so I have seen a fair amount of posts, I think. Maybe in the winter I wont think about it so much... WHENEVER I see grass that has been mowed, laying in the street... and I wouldnt have thought ANYTHING about it EVER, before that post! aaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
  14. For me the biggest irritation ( actually I label it an antagonizer ) is when people drive right up on my tail when I am already going OVER the speed limit, , conditions permitting. And I am not talking about driving on highways, freeways, etc. I am talking about Hiram-Sudie,Nebo,and Ridge Roads. I am a pretty laid back person, but I totally lose focus when someone is riding my tail- i just cant let it go and ignore it. I always say " If you hit me......."
  15. I would be in your debt- thank you!
  16. I have a current client that needs stalls cleaned (4 stalls) 2x weekly- Mondays and Thursdays. On these days, they also need feed put up, hay put out, and stall water buckets refilled, troughs refilled, sometimes scrubbed out, and 2 little dogs walked. I am going to find someone new to do this job ( not working under me, though, it would be their own deal) and let it go myself, beacuse I simply cant timewise do this anymore. If you would refer these people to me, I would appreciate it!
  17. Sprint will not have a replacement phone for me until tomorrow ( Wednesday ), so I am hoping everyone who needs to get ahold of me will PM me on here, email me fenner2039@comcast.net , facebook me , or PM me for my house phone number- Thanks, Wendy
  18. Count me in! I was diagnosed Hashimotos Thyroiditis ( Autoimmune Thyroiditis ) in 2000. I was very lucky, had really good care in Vermont, and New Hampshire, had great health insurance, therefore I was able to go to a great endocrinologist. My levels have been up and down the past ten years, so my dosages have gone up and down. I have other autoimmune issues ( I went into menopause at age 30, 2 years after my daughter was born, basically it was my body attacking my ovaries )that cycle around the thyroid as well, so I am kind of a tricky case. Unfortunately, my husband and I do not have health

    HELP

I was in once two weeks ago, then once with my hubby last week ( he was doing pet sit rounds with me) - I think it was Thursday. I had the chix salad ( YUM!!) and a choc chunk cookie. Hubby had the ham and cheese, the double decker creme filled choc chunk cookie AND an apple fritter after that! Then he drank his Pepsi. I asked him if he would like some sugar to go with that!!!!
  20. Yikes! I am totally full- but I can make a great recommendation! My cell is 770-990-5570!!
  21. Sending you a pm! I think my hubby copied down the wrong number- I called that number yesterday and left you a message!
  22. That was where the house fire was last year? What a beautiful piece of property... My hubby and I drove up there today, and ( although we are not in any place where we could purchase ) fell in love with it. I really felt badly for the loss that the owners suffered. I am sure they loved being there....
  23. I am absolutely full at this point for JUNE and JULY both! ( Those of you who have already booked with me, or we have talked, you are with me, dont worry, you are set!) If I get calls for South/Mid Paulding, there is coverage for that, with other sitters. But there really IS NO ONE for that upper area of Paulding. Even in the past few years, the few of us pet sitters in Paulding would call each other and give phone numbers to each other from people who called and wanted sitting, who lived in that area. It IS mostly a summer thing, and it's not "tons and tons" of phone calls we receive for sitt

    OMG!

I have nothing positive to say. Lets just say giving that beast the needle would not be enough.
