  1. She had H1N1 back in the fall, so I am not thinking it's that. It started over the weekend with a bad stomachache. Then by yesterday afternoon she started with diarrhea. ( Sorry for the descriptive details ...)She wanted to try to go to softball practice last night, so we went, and as soon as they started warming up, she had to run to the bathrooms, had severe diarrhea, so we took her home, she felt like she was going to throw up. I gave her some immodium (had already tried pepto- didnt help). Then she took a shower and felt weak, so she went to bed with a bad stomachache ( never threw up). Wh

  5. Personally I cant bear going down 92/278 ( unless its an early Sunday morning). So I go the back road from my house- Hiram Sudie to Bill Carruth ( south ) to 92, to Morningside, to Pool, then in back of the mess on 278 until I come in over by the movies on 278. I cant wait until they finish that construction where the train tracks are, so we can go that way again- HOPEFULLY!
  6. DESIGNED the traffic pattern/flow of the parking lots, drive thrus, entrances, exits from the shopping area of Dunkin Donuts to Movies 278? And the entrances/exits from said parking lot to 278?? And the BIG PRIZE is for the wonderful traffic pattern on the road ( Depot Road ) between Texas Road House and Home Depot!!! Can you tell I had an errand down there today? SHEESH! I think we should have a design competition in between the high schools to see which high school could come up with a better design for that entire area!!
  7. One of the first posts mentioned "tocopherol" - isnt that the scientific name for vitamin E? I am pretty sure it is. You can always read tocopherol on the ingredient list in hand creams and hair conditioners. I dont know..very scary- I have a 13, almost 14 yr old daughter, and I asked her last night about " spice" ,she thinks she remembers a kid in school asking her if she has tried it....very scary. As for my wild experimentation...I was kinda "square" and grew up in the Nancy Reagan " Just Say No " time. So I didnt experiment with drugs, but I do have to admit that one time I was feeling es

  12. Ok, it's TUESDAY today, and so far we have only had 1 major Holiday event( Presidents Day) this week. How are the news outlets staying on the air? There is no new earthquake, celebrity death or misstep, weather event, political race or event, illness, car recalls, etc. What is the big story this week?
  13. He was working at a corporate level, in Atlanta, at a restaurant company. Pretty decent salary, good benefits. No severance pay, however. So he asked if he could work one more month, they agreed. So he is done as of March 7th. Someone from corporate offered him that he could work at one of the restaurant franchises ( IN ATLANTA ) for $13/ hour, no benefits. Basically a burger flipper. So I told him that because both our vehicles have 170,000 miles on them, it would be better to work that kind of job here in Hiram/278 ( IF he can get a job here)because we could cut down to one vehicle ( I would
  14. Prayers to you....My husband lost his job (yesterday) as well.....
  15. I agree...I turn on my blinker WAY ahead of time before turing on and off of HS as I do multiple times a day, either onto or off of McClung, onto or off of Cochran Ridge, onto or off of Hiram Way, onto or off of Bill Carruth, etc. I worry I am going to get rear ended all the time....

  19. I must have looked at 15 different trees today, hoping, hoping...and sure enough! Some trees not yet, but some trees have buds on the branches!!!!!!! Some of them are teeny tiny, like the head of a pin. Some are as big as the tip of my finger. To me, this is pure happiness! Its almost, almost here!!!! "Plants in the ground, plants in the ground, want SPRING to come so I can put plants in the ground!!"

  23. I am pretty sure I joined when I moved here in Spring of '06. Before that, I used to log on from Vermont! ( under a guest membership ) It was my first connection to Paulding County, as I wanted to find out as much as I could about the area before moving here....
  24. Thanks! I am back! About three days ago, I got 2 rolls non skid rubber liner( like you line drawers with ) put that underneath the upside down vinyl table cloth so that wouldnt slide all around, then duct taped all the pads together into one big sheet, and duct taped them to the tablecloth. He wanted to use those pads as his bed, so he just pawed and clawed at them all afternoon while I was gone, until he made about a foot high pile of cotton wads and duct tape all tangled together, then he slept on that. This was in addition to peeing on the full size egg crate mattress I bought him for a bed
