I see it didn't take long for the bitchiness to start in this thread. It is in all areas all groups of life. In my world it's more the wife's that stay at home in everyone's business. I work and don't have time for the nonsense.

I said the same thing earlier this year and PCOM laughed at me. People on base that belong to a union aren't treated as bad. Best thing I did was just find a company that had a better contract. Unions on base are more Mech/Tech based not Admin.

Yes, I meant Rockefeller Center, can you tell I was in a hurry. It isn't too bad, we are getting a ride thru ITT and they are dropping us off at Macys. Just makes for a long day because we are going there and back in the same day 5 hours each way. UHHHHH I am doing it for the kids they have never been to NY before unless you count the airport. Thanks for the food tip, we will ck that out for dinner before we head home. We leave from Macys so that is the perfect location. Oh yeah that is what my boys want to see the most!

Taking my kids to NY tomorrow. We only have 6 hours to sight see. What is the must do things? I'm thinking Roosevelt Center what else? I have never been to NY before at Christmas time. TIA!

I've been going every fall since I moved to MD. When I lived in VA in the 90's and was much closer we rarely went since we had babies. I love Bush Gardens so much nicer than HOT I mean Six Flags. Even the one in MD isn't that nice, they have really went downhill. Colonial Williamsburg boring to me. Only excitement I had there was they were filming HBO John Adams.

NO joke, last time I was in Switzerland was back for the Bush/Clinton election 1992. Me and DH were euro-railing and when we got off the train, there was a little ol' lady looking for people to stay at her apt. We took the chance and spent the night at her apt. She woke us up very early in the morning yelling BUSHA BUSHA. She was more into the election results than we were at the time. LOL We didn't have much money back then so our dinner was a hot fudge sundae that we shared.

I miss the winter breaks that they do in GA. Since we are still in MD the earliest we can go anywhere is this Mar for Spring Break. I'm thinking the Mall of America. Minneapolis is a direct flight from DCA and the Mall is close to the airport. Works for me!

I can never plan anything being a military wife. I don't even know yet where I will be living next year. I plan my vacations at the most 2 weeks ahead of time. My last trip to Niagara Falls I was planning only a few days before we left.

I've had so many root canals, I have lost count, thinking at least 6 the first starting when I was still in my teens. I am now in my 40's and I have none of the health problems you listed above. I would rather take my chances with a root canal then have them pull my teeth out Just make sure you go to a endo and good luck.

It's all in the coin flip...They are both pretty much the same. No joke on Tue I flipped a coin, head was Obama, and sure enough it came up heads. I went to bed knowing I couldn't stay awake long enough to find out. Imagine my surprise that it ended fairly early 1130. Of course I had been asleep at least 2 hours by then but the TV woke me up and I saw the news. The last 4 years were def better for me than the 8 years Bush was in the office..We made more money and had no job losses...
