My last co-worker would come into work at 900 and take 2 hour lunch breaks and then leave sometimes at 3-330. Their reason this is SHORE DUTY All I would think is, my husband is on shore duty and he still works at least 8 hour days....OFFICERS enough said..........

You get one of those pre paid debit cards when you are on unemployment too.

I have three photo ID's. My drivers licence, military spouse ID and my CAC card. My credit union only asks for one ID when I need to cash a check. Won't they let you use your Social Security Card? Or does it have to have your Photo on it? Or even take your Passport in. I guess that makes me have 4 things with my picture on it. Problem is most people don't have their SS cards and Passports on them at all times.

Are you better off today than you were four years ago?

So he didn't get the 911 GI bill? I'm more familiar with how it works for active duty but it looks like you only have to serve for 90 days. "The new Post 9/11 GI Bill, which goes into effect on August 1, 2009, will provide education benefits for servicemembers who have served on active duty for 90 or more days since Sept. 10, 2001. These benefits are tiered based on the number of days served on active duty, creating a benefit package that gives current and previously activated National Guard and Reserve members the same benefits as active duty service members." I'm not judging, you pu -

Am I better off...I guess I just break even, my house has went down in value, but I rent it out and actually make some money off of it every month, and I now work, so I have saved about 100K extra by doing that. My income will be for retirement and we don't live off of it. Gas prices haven't affected me much, because I only have a 7 miles commute and me and DH carpool most of the time. Once we get back to GA, I will no longer work but will still be the same because of DH's retirement pay, I don't feel like it would be worth it to work full time just to pay so much in taxes $$$$$ what is the -
Just this week I had one of my co-workers tell me that she has it and then another one today. It is a common thing in MD. Scary stuff, from what I understand about it, the ticks that give it to you are hard to see.

The dentist I used, I cant remember his name, he was by Cobb Hosp, was an endo and he put in my filling. I didn't have to go back to my reg dentist. Of those root canals I had done in GA, I already had crowns on my teeth so they just drilled thru them. The Endo here was nice in the respect that they want me to go back in a year so they can ck on it free of charge. I never had one do that before. This rootcanal was on a back molar. I had a crown put on it last year, due to a large filling and that is when the problems started, sensitive to cold about a week after it was put on. Last Frid

When I lived in Miami, late 80's I wanted a retail job, I couldn't get one because I wasn't bilingual. Guess who the jobs went to? Maryland doesn't start teaching Spanish till 8th grade, unlike GA if I remember right was 6th grade, but they cover everything in one year where GA would not do that. Made it easy for my son, who started 8th grade in MD to get an A in the class. Now he is on Spanish 4 as a JR. I didn't...I lived in Spain for almost 5 years and about all I picked up was HOLA. My son took Spanish and French last year as a SOP. He didn't like it that

Did he give you any pain pills? I only take mine at night because they make me so sleepy.

Honey BOO BOO? What is that?

Root Canals suck....And are very expensive over $1600...And that is only for the procedure. Thank goodness I already had a crown on it and my insurance takes care of 60%. But something very strange, I now have to go back to my regular dentist for the replacement filling...The dentists in GA would always take care of that. Now I am stuck on the couch waiting for my face to feel normal and to not have a crooked smile, no way was I going back to work. What has been going on in PCOM land lately, I haven't had as much time to come in, this new job keeps me pretty busy..Very different

I cant wait to get back to Paulding. The military put us there and made us leave for a few years. I miss the low cost of living in GA.

From what I see you don't ignore him, you always gotta come in and make some mean comment to him. If you hate his posts so much just skip over them. -

All I can say is that some people take Politics way to seriously and they give you a hard time if you don't blindly follow the sheep. I have had people on here that have never met me, question and try to say I am a bad person. I just shake my head and carry on. I respect you postman! Keep posting away...I am glad that you can THINK for yourself. -
Is there something going on with Arbys? Both of them in my area closed their doors about 3 months ago..
-
Did they offer them another position first? That is what I would like to know. If they did and the employee refused to relocate, well then that is on them for being out of a job.

They work harder, military included...now we all do the job of 2-3 people because of cutbacks. I am sure it is the same way in the private sector.
