I thought if you own a home you aren't supposed to leave until the divorce is final? I'm no expert I've never been divorced. Not sure in your case, but if I ever got a divorce (not planning on it EVER) I would be covered under my husbands plan till I got remarried. Ck on that it might be the same for you.

Target has good prices on cereal....It is actually cheaper than the commissary on base. I like Publix in the fact that if you don't buy 2 items, they actually price it half off.....Unlike many other stores where if you don't buy two (When it is By one get one free...Then you pay a higher price.

I'm moving out to the Peachtree City area and I will have to do most of my shopping at Publix and Kroger. I may drive out to the Army Base to pick up some canned food cereal etc...It is at least 70 miles away so it won't be that often. When I lived in Dallas I would shop at Publix. I did shop at Walmart but not for the meat and veggies.................

All is good now. Only damage I had was my lawn chair blew off my porch and the wind blew off my grill cover and moved the grill some. They reported baseball size hail in my county, but it wasn't in my neighborhood.

UHHHH it's going on right now for me. Tornado Warning till 4. Nothing like sitting in a Harry Potter closet under the stairs. I cant wait till I get back to GA and have a basement again.

Question of the day. When you are at the grocery store and have water and soda, do you put it on the ck-out belt....Or do you leave it in the shopping cart and let the cashier scan it that way?

They are way creepy. They were all over the trees in front of my house last fall for weeks. I have a pic of them, but I would need to down load it. So glad they are finally gone.

My Dad was 13 years older than my Mom and he outlived her by almost 10 years. BLEH to older men, my husband is younger than me.

I will add...If an appraisal comes back for less than what the buyer wants...there is no way I would pay the extra in cash...They can lower the price. I'm living this right now. I put an offer on a house that was way overpriced. They turned it down....So I bought another house. I go and ck on it and giggle every time I see them lower the price, and it has not sold yet. Not to mention they are now asking only about 5K over what I offered them...I bet they are regretting not taking my offer now...Whene

A house only sells for what a buyer will pay for it not to mention what the comps go for. I am not going to buy a house without having my own agent looking out for me. If I was a real estate agent I would go ahead and use myself.

You don't have to have an agent to buy a house, but why wouldn't you? You don't pay them anything, the commission comes from the seller.

That is not true. Everyone has a boss...You go to his boss. Or even go to the person below him. For example if I was in and the CO attacked me. I would go to the CMC or even the XO to report it. If I didn't get some satisfaction from that I would go to the base CO.

Never had that kind, but here in MD they sell moonshine in the liquor store.

80% Most of the single women that were at my squadron (late 80's early 90's ended up pregnant.) And all of the time that I was in I never had a women hit on me, all of my friends had boyfriends....Don't know where you are coming up with 80% lesbian. Those are gross, one thing I don't miss at all about living in FL. I didn't wake up to the cicadas singing this morning, yes they are so loud I can hear them in my house. They are only supposed to be around about 6 weeks...The end may be soon........................

Are they in Georgia? They are here in Maryland. They are so loud, ugly and hit your windshield while driving. I do not remember these bugs at all from the last time they were out in 1996. I was in a medical building today, and heard this strange noise, it sounded like a radio that had something interfering with it, BUZZING...Nothing at all like what I hear outside...Next thing I know one of those nasty bugs landed on my shoulder. I would post the picture that I took of it but I don't want to gross anyone out.

I want a pool too, but I don't want to take care of one, especially in GA where I would use it at the most if lucky 4 months...So I just bought a house with a HOA pool.

Wow, my DR told me differently when I was worried about my son being bit by a tick. And when I look for articles on line about it, it pretty much says the same thing. Wood ticks do not give you Lyme.

Geez I was just trying to make you feel better. You cant get Lyme from the ticks that are easy to see(example wood ticks). Also most cases are in the Northeast and North central states. "Myth: All Ticks Carry Lyme Disease Fact: There are a number of types of ticks, but only blacklegged ticks (commonly called deer ticks) carry the bacterium that causes Lyme disease, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Lyme disease is bad in Maryland. I was told that deer ticks not wood ticks give you Lyme disease. They are very tiny and hard to see. You should be OK.

Book marking this thread. I used Parking Spot, but I've been out of the area for almost 4 years. This sure beats the $22 a day I would have to pay to park at DCA.
