Yup yup, me and my herd will be there to check it out We have many bookworms in our family. -
I don't " buy " organic .. I live organic. I have NEVER once bought an item that " said " it was organic. There is a huge market making a KILLING off of the " green " movement. I read labels on EVERYTHING I buy. If it has ANYTHING that I can't pronounce, or can't justify it being in the products .. I don't buy it. We clean our house with vinegar and baking soda NOT " green cleaner ". We make our own jams and jellies with fresh fruit .. not the " organic " jelly that they sell on the shelves. We also make our own peanut butter, bread, pretzels ... ect. With kids with foo

Hey Lady Glad to hear all is going well. Keep in touch more often

Whatever you do .. don't go out at night. I grew up in Memphis .. it was pretty bad then. However, not as nearly as bad as it is now. I drove through Memphis last December during the day. I had my mom with me .. we were both scared. We got lost and we were too scared to stop and ask for directions it was THAT bad. It made Atlanta look an amusement park.

I used to lock up my van everywhere except for home .. now I do it at home as well. One night a few years ago .. people were running around in our subdivision ... running up to unlocked cars .. taking what they can and running. Guess what they got out of my van ? Nothing It wasn't locked, but unless they were looking for car seats .. they were screwed lol. So, yes do lock your cars however .. What I think is even more important is not keeping valuable things in your car. A friend of mine had her car window smashed in to get a laptop she had left sitting on the passengers s

We had a kitty die 3 years ago next month. She died after we had sprayed the house for fleas. We followed all the directions right as we had several times before. Only this time, she managed to get into it somehow and died. After she died we still had fleas ... so I searched and searched for a better way. To get rid of them .. we discovered Salt and borax. I prefer salt .. but borax worked well too. We sprinkled the carpet with Salt or Borax .. let it sit ( it smothers the fleas ) for a day or so and then vacuum it up . This is annoying because walking on salt well is annoying lol.

We use all natural things in our house. No meds, OTC or prescribed .... haven't seen a flea in over 3 years

It does have a strong resemblance

I did pork chops baked in the oven, French style green beans, Diced red potatoes baked in balsamic vinegar and seasonings .. and home made biscuits.

My oldest son would only eat eggs for almost a year I remember taking him to the docs at 2 years old and them telling me .. just let him eat what he wants .. and give him a multi vitamin. He's almost 19 now .. big and strong as an ox! My youngest daughter is 5 .. to this days she only eats 3 different foods. She gets checkups every year and comes out perfect. I let my kids eat what they want. I have one rule and that is that they must at least " try " other foods. When I cook, I make them take at least 3 bites .. if after that they don't like it .. I don't make them eat it.

I'll check it out. The hair she has is beautiful. Her skin and nails are also in very good shape. But, at this point she is willing to try just about anything. Maybe switching her multi would help ? who knows Her doctor ruled out Alopecia or however you spell it.
-
EFA's ? She takes a Mutlivitamin .. she's been taking the same one since I can remember. Is that what Barlean's is ? If so maybe she can try that. They checked her for deficiencies .. they came up with nothing. They said her numbers were all on the high side.

The first thing they did ( and I knew they would ) was pick at her diet. But, they came up empty handed. You see, she's been a vegan for over 5 years. Her doctor says she is one the healthiest teens she has ever seen. You see, she isn't a vegan that eats donuts all day long. She won't eat anything that doesn't come from nature. If it isn't in the produce section, she won't eat it. Except for beans ( which is where she gets her protein). The hair that she does have is gorgeous. Shiny and healthy. She has nice, long nails. So, no her diet isn't the issue here. People love to say Vegans aren't he

It's been on and off for about a year now. She was on prescription meds, benedryl ... she changed her diet because of her food allergies. So, up until recently her doctors have blamed it all on different things. But, now she's been off of everything for 6 months .. her diet is stable again .. it's still falling out. She's almost 17, past puberty ( thank goodness ) ... but I haven't ruled out hormones. I just know that it's not from an inbalance, as she's been checked for that.
-
She has oily hair ... she tried it this morning and so far she's liking it. We'll see how it works long term. She used vinegar as a conditioner .. it seemed to work nice.
-
Her Thyroid was the first thing checked. That was what I thought it was too. She is a vegan, so they checked her for anemia and such .. wasn't that either. Her hair also isn't consistent. That's why we're suspecting it's shampoo. However, once it stops and she thinks she has it under control, it starts falling out again. Very frustrating indeed.

I always found guys like that a turn off. I always went after the guys that didn't show interest ... I guess that's how I ended up marrying my best friend. If a guy will do that to you .. He'll do it to others as well You aint nuffin special .. just another notch on his belt.
-
Oooo I'll have to try that .. thanks

We use vinegar and baking soda to clean everything in our house. This is just my first experience using it as a shampoo

She has VERY short hair. She had it cut off due to the hair problems. She is the most relaxed, happy child I have ever known She is my hippy, go lucky, the world is wonderful child. I've asked her about stress and she laughed at me. So, no it's not stress. The only thing the docs have concluded is her shampoo. She sees her regular doctor and an allergy specialist. Neither one have been able to pin it down. They also told her it might just be normal and there is nothing she can do. That answer, she isn't willing to accept.

I SO need to get some of this for my teenage son. He smells literally 5 minutes after getting out of the shower Nothing helps that boy ... I told him it must be hormones

Before becoming a full time mom, I was a manager at a beauty supply store .. I know allot about Nioxin and recommended as well. She just wants to get away from ALL chemicals at this point. She is convinced that it's a chemical causing it. So, well see

My teenage daughter has had a tough year. In the last year we have learned that she is allergic to peanuts, mango's and dogs ( her passion ) Well, we've managed to deal with it all. She has it all under control except her hair is falling out along her hairline now. Her doctors are baffled. They can't figure it out. She has been tested for EVERYTHING under the moon. The only thing left is her shampoo. She wants to try something completely natural. We've done organic shampoo's .. ect. So, she wants to try baking soda. I'm all for it .. I just wonder if anyone else has tried it and if it gets

This is NO joke. My parents were both in the Navy. I had surgery when I was 17 at a military hospital. The night before my surgery .. they came in and " joked " about practicing on me. The guy that gave me my IV had NO idea what he was doing. It took him " 13 " tries I cried, and they " sedated " me to keep me calm. So, yes they DO practice on you. I was so upset .. and my parents were no where around. This is " one " of the reasons why I am such an over protective mom now. The Military does practice on it's members and their dependents.
