  1. She makes me look hot too Linda! We'll have to all go out after getting our hair done by Peggy!
  2. Wow Subby, great topic! And you are showing great security (and mental health) by being willing to talk about it. I don't think the innate desire to provide and protect your family will ever leave most men. Times change, expectations and perspective of "success" may change, but the need to provide and make your loved ones happy remains within you. I know I'm generalizing, but for the most part women do not have this need. Oh, trust me, I have been a single mom with the weight of the world on me-I struggled to keep a roof over our heads, but my deepest self-worth was not tied into the
  3. I got nuthin......30 years of trying to think of something for dinner. Burn out. My youngest can drive now....somebody bring me a burger.
  4. We have. Did it to my son when he was about six years old. He stuck something little in his pocket from Home Depot--can't remember what--a pack of gum-something like that. He pulled it out when he got home and I asked my husband if he had bought it for him. He took him right back up there and let the security person scare the britches off him. Then he got home and we took his toys away..or something horrible for a couple of weeks. Oh Lord....too many kids, too many years. I can't remember the good parts.
  5. Darrell Pell knew what was important in this life. He will be missed.
  6. Don't go around saying the world owes you a living. The world owes you nothing. It was here first. ---Mark Twain But.....but I didn't ask to be born! Sorry! I had to go there--my little sister's favorite excuse back in the day. Great post T!
  7. And remember, large studies will probably not be done. The Rx companies can't make money selling vinegar or any other natural treatment; therefore, they are not going to pay for studies. Nor are they going to release known information on the benefits of natural treatments--if you can take something sitting in your pantry and get better, they can't sell you drugs.
  8. a man after my own heart I kept mine nearby......those nights you are up and down the stairs forty-five times ........you will end up with baby in the bed with you anyway.
  9. I am so sorry to hear this! Two heart breaking losses in one week--firts Joe Coviello and now Darrell. Darrell was a special soul.

  11. just a dang minute MC You know you got that pole! Now quit being stingy and let LPPT use it.....
  12. Millcreek, I don't know why you haven't volunteered to put your heated, disco lighted pole on the float for LPPT --that will definitely warm things up!
  13. I am so shocked and saddened to hear this! To Joe's family, he will be missed. May God comfort you.
  14. I think it is the Target store brand. That is the only place I have seen it.
  15. Been there too Mizcue......sat at my desk and cried several times over losing a pet. Tootsie was very loved and I am sure you gave her a wonderful life.
  16. Those are the days I get real tempted to wear my flannel jammies and fuzzy slippers to work! Hope you feel better!
  17. I didn't have a book....but wrote out "100 Reasons I Love You" for my husband twenty years ago. He still has the list. I also bought him a toy. The great secret to a happy Christmas--boys never get too grown up for toys. He gets a toy every year, no matter what the budget.
  18. And....they want the government to take over our health care!!!! I must also add to my fellow tax professional the state govt agencies somehow make the IRS look positively efficient!
  19. It is in my DNA. It has been handed down to me and I have handed it down to my daughter. We always burn the rolls.......always. I always buy extra because I know this is going to happen.
  20. This is not the Danny Townsend who has (had?) the car lot in downtown Dallas recently.
  21. I'm confused. Can some of you teachers help? If adults are not supposed to be in the locker room because there might be "inappropriate" .....whatever, how can there also be adult supervision. Seems like the administration is in a lose/lose situation. How do the schools handle this in the locker room?
