If you tell me what bus route it was, I can ask my kids if they know anything........... My son got a yo yo, too, and he just loves it! -

Great news! When my son was about that age they thought he might have lukemia. Pretty scary..........all turned out well for us, too! Keeping that baby in my prayers.............. -
I just read her poem again. She wrote it for an English project when she was 15 and we had just moved here. I love it........ Where I am I am from a road with too many bumps. with the big purple car wash at the end. Where we played SPUD in the street, man hunt in the yard and hit fireflies with a bat at night. I am from good Italian food, good Chinese food, and good Indian food. I am from a place where your religion doesn't matter, but Yankees and Mets does. Where education produced people with decent grammar ....even if they don't always tawk that way. I am from a place w

Thank you, everyone. We are very proud of her. With some training, she might be able to have a career. Even with training, you have to start out sounding good at least! Yes, it is my eldest daughter who is the writer. More bragging here.....she is a junior in college majoring in English with a minor in creative writing. Every one of her professors has told her she is the best writer they've ever read. She is really amazing. My girls have some talent! Now my son, that's a different story. Based on the things he does now, at the age of 8.............I am pretty sure he is going to

There is someone in the building daily at noon. The maintenance man was inside, which is why the front doors were not locked. The interior doors are always locked (have to be buzzed in). It was dark inside because we only turn the lights on in the area we are working in. JSYK, the schedule is posted in the window.

On a side note, the daughter of the woman who was murdered was on "Say yes to the dress" last week. So sad to see her picking out her wedding gown without her mom..........there was lots of tears!

That sounds exactly like gallbladder. Did they check it??

Not a big fan of the Bahamas. LOVE a cuise, though! Very affordable and you get to go to several places!

Congratulations! When I was pregnant with #3 (after 2 girls), I just KNEW it was a boy.....and I was so disappointed! I wanted a GIRL again! That is, until they laid that sweet baby boy in my arms. I love all of my children, equally but differently, however, there is a special love that a mother has for her son. My friends (who have boys) always told me that, but I didn't believe them. The sun rises and sets on my baby boy, and always will. He is my shining star and can do no wrong. I spoil him rotten and love every minute of it! Boys are so much easier.......just quite a bit loud

I went down 278 to Kroger (from Dallas city limits). Other than the bridges which were total ice, it was slushy in some spots. A little icy in some intersections, but easy enough to travel on.

come do mine!!

Me too! This is my first snow day in about 18 years!

In NYC the sanitation workers had a slow down to protest mass layoffs. My brother didn't get his road plowed (in NYC) for days. The trucks were riding with their plows UP. That's why the snow didn't get cleared. Believe me, they can get those streets cleaned up pretty quick........if they want to!

the scanner is pretty quiet. Guess everyone is heeding the advice and staying home!
