I have been retired from Cobb for about 7 years. Hankerson was then and is still the main problem in a lot of Cobb's issues. I met Mr. Forsyth last year. He seemed to be a great man. He had plans for that department and it's a shame that all his plans were snuffed because of Hankerson. The Chief of Police talked to us at our retirement reunion and discussed all the great things Forsyth was going to do. I guess he couldn't do them because of Hankerson. I wish he had stayed and fought, but I guess when you are threated that you can be fired 4 times in a year is enough.

I'm not of the age for a senior discount YET! I am not sure what the age is. I started getting it without asking a year or so ago. I have let my hair go grey....meaning I quit coloring it. So now I just say don't forget I'm old and I always get the discount.

I love icicles. We haven't used them because we have always had dogs. I was afraid they would eat them. This year we decided we want them on the tree. I did the decorating as usual. My husband would put one icicle at a time on the tree. I kinda throw a few up in the air and let them land where they may. LOL Our tree is filled with ornaments of our travels. I have my pictures saved on CDs and I put them in a small safe that is fire proof. I also put them on Dropshots. It's a website I found years ago. Back then it cost $100.00 for unlimited pictures and videos. Thanks for the reminder. I don't think I have saved any of my 2013 pictures. I need to put that on my "To Do Soon" List.

I finally got the husband out this week to go shopping for the grandkids. We are almost done. Black Friday used to be fun. Me and my twinsister would get up early, go shopping and eat breakfast. It's not fun anymore. I'm so excited I scored the Monster High High School on Kmart.com for almost 1/2 off the regular price. Then my sister found it on Amazon.com for a little less. I'm happy I found one for them. They are going to be so excited.

A friend of mine is a mail carrier and said that this woman worked her route on Tuesdays. So I guess she worked on regular mail carriers off days. There is no telling where all her routes were. My friend's route included Cedarcrest from Harmony Grove Church Road to the Crossroads. I don't know where else she goes. My friend said that people on her route kept asking her about some mail that never got to the person they were mailing it to. My friend was shocked about the thefts. The news said that the people who are missing mail will get some kind of notice.

I just watched a video from a NJ Democrat who said the President didn't lie when he said "you can keep your insurance plan". You can keep your insurance as long as your insurance doesn't cancel you or change their plans. That's cute how they get around that lie! LR, My Daddy went to heaven about a month before your Daddy went. I still miss him so much. We are so lucky to still have Mama with us. My sister and I take one day a week to go and stay with her. I'm hoping we can have our first fire tonight in our wood burning stove. After many years of using it we have some rust issues on the door. So my husband took the door off and used his dremel tool thingy to get the rust off and he repainted it. The he had to replace the insulating rope stuff around the door. So today hopefully the door will go back on and we will have our first fire. We have plenty of fire wood.

Back in the day.......I was a victim in a SWAT exercise. (Not a real victim....I was acting) I was being held by a gunman. When the SWAT officers came into rescue me it was where they took down the bad guy etc. Then I was told to put my hands up and they led me out of the building. I'm just posting this because the officers do not know who all may be the bad guys. So the part that says do what the officer says is true. I am thanking God right now that our insurance didn't go up either. Us old retired folks need a break! LOL I am hoping that it all doesn't catch up with us next year with a huge rate hike.
