  1. We aren't far from you and heard East's cannon several times during the evening? The last one I remember was around 10...and our dogs go berserk too!
  2. Cukes and cantaloupe, honeydew, carrots, potatoes, beets, jalapenos, serrano and bell peppers, red onions, string beans and white acre peas. Lost 15 or so tomato plants already. Not sure what is going on, but I suspect tomato wilt. They die almost overnight. Harvested some nice sweet south Ga onions and yukon gold potatoes.
  3. I think it was Thomas Jefferson that strongly warned against this type of banking system. We are seeing all too well why.
  4. Pig in the garden salad with smoked turkey at Jim N Nicks Amy's salad with grilled shrimp or fried catfish nuggets and remoulade sauce on the side for dipping at Cajun's Cookin Sirloin or grilled chicken salad at Ted's Hickory salad at Briar Patch BBQ Thai chicken salad at Panera Bread Yeah, I've been eating a lot of salads.....
  5. I think it has to do with the way the road is layed out. If you are turning left across traffic into the Avenue and another vehicle is turning into Krogers, it's hard to see around them, especially if they are to the right side of the turn lane. The road rises and has a slight turn and the drops down a bit which makes oncoming traffic somewhat difficult to see. I passed that accident on the 8th and it didn't look good at all. Cobb PD has Dallas Hwy blocked off at Casteel. I never could find an article about what happened.
  6. I'm a huge Doors fan and taught my son to appreciate the music of the 60's and 70's. He taught himself to play the guitar because of Robby Krieger. Now he is in school pursuing his passion to become a luthier. I recently went to Colorado for his end of semester show and was able to see the first guitar he built as well as a drum kit that he hand built from mahogany veneers. All that to say you never know who or what is going to make an impression on you that may alter your life's course. The Doors certainly made an impression on my son and helped shape his future. I took him to see The Doors o
  7. Happy Birthday!!!!! Think of it like wine.... you only get better with age.
  8. An hour just is not enough time to fit it all in.
  9. Try Super Sod on Canton hwy. You can check out what is available on their web site. I have bought from the the past two years, but picked up at their location. When I checked with Home Depot, they had a 6 pallet minimum. What type of sod are you looking for?
  10. Deer Creek is on Fairground St. a block or so from the civic center.
  11. UFO??? Is this the British series from the 70's? A cheesey show , but I loved it. I can still remember some of the music. Crazy
  12. Congratulations!!!!! 32 yrs for me and Mrs Cajunbull. Ya'll ready to do some planting soon?
  13. The food at Cajun's is awesome. The fried catfish is great, as is the shrimp poboy. We stopped going to D'ville now that Cajun's is in Hiram. We're going tonite, so maybe we'll see some of ya'll there.
  14. Saute some onions add some fresh garlic, some chicken stock , quinoa, black beans and whole kernel corn and cilantro. Simmer in a covered skillet. We actually eat it with blue corn chips, kinda like it was a dip. Mrs. Cajunbull61 edited to say he forgot about the cumin and FRESH cilantro for this recipe!
  15. How did an 18% gratuity get added on a 34.93 check? Did 6 or more diners eat for a mere 34.93? Seems a bit strange to me.
  16. Yes, it's one of our 57 states.......
  17. The closed cupcake place would be the one that faces Business 6! Has anyone tried the NEW BAKERY on Main Street in Downtown Dallas? Oh my, oh my it is yummy! Heaven Scent Cakes! They have a few specialty lunch items Tuesday thru Friday; closed Sunday & Monday. Everything there is DELICIOUS! And delicious cupcakes and specialty cakes to order!
  18. Canadian side for sure. Buy a ticket package for the different attractions and pay attention to the bus passes. Once you get to the main street, there are buses that will take you between the various attractions. Saves a lot of walking and hunting for parking. Visit old Fort Erie, if you like historical stuff, its not too far of a drive. In general, the food was just ok, but the view from some of the resturants are great.
