    Well, it's obvious I'm not following very closely. But, I've always liked him. My first thought on it was to just leave him alone. But, maybe they do have a legitimate reason for pursuing it.

    If there were no obvious signs of domestic violence (bruises, etc) then they would need to investigate prior to arresting her.

    Yes, you're wrong. (Sorry, I just wanted to say that. ) It does appear they suspect domestic violence. However, it won't get very far if he doesn't testify, and it doesn't appear that he would.

    Years ago (in GA) my Dad was ticketed when he left the scene of his single car accident to go obtain the services of a wrecker.
