  1. what? right next door to the taj mahal - I mean courthouse - is perfect for a grandiose vision of greed.
  2. As someone who grew up behind the mable house, I was furious to see the amp. come. It destroyed our neighborhood. I'd bet a dollar it would do the same to paulding neighbors close-by. just because 7 acres "is sitting there doing nothing" (per the article) doesn't mean it needs to have something built on it. Leave well enough alone. such bullcheeze.
  3. I've had weight loss surgery. I had the vertical sleeve 2 years ago. I've lost 135 pounds. My diet is 1200 calories, give or take a day - with moderate or more exercising. I walk approximately 3-5 miles a day. Losing the weight isn't the hard part with WLS. Re-teaching yourself out to live afterwards is the catch. Not for sissies looking for a quick fix. Surgery is a risk - an unknown variable. Having an unhealthy lifestyle is a guarantee of bad things to come. my opinion, of course.
  4. It has nothing to do with rights. It's the basics of biology. It has nothing to do with country or politics. My Child, who I gave birth to, fed, bathed, sang to and rocked to sleep with all my heart and soul - is hurt. I will move heaven and earth to get there as soon as I am able. That's my first reaction as a mother. To her I doubt he's a terrorist. He's her baby.
  5. Prince of Tides & The Color Purple were two that stuck in my mind. Most of the rest mentioned, we watched. Oh and the Muppets Take Manhattan, I think. On a film strip. O.o
  6. My baby is hurt? You bet your ass I'd move the earth to get to them. Regardless of fault. ijs

  8. you mean "oh god oh god oh god" doesn't count?
  9. I was 16 on the pill. I didn't have a kid until I was 29. Your mileage will always vary.
  10. It's my opinion that Doctors aren't going to be able to do anything about an "oops" moment the night before. You won't go to a doctor. There's nothing they can do. Even if you did, what's the odds that you'll get an appointment in a conveniently quick time? It's called the Morning After pill, not the Three Weeks Ago pill. As for drugs in the Pharmacy that aren't Rx only -- how many times have you had to go give your Driver's License for some straight out Sudafed? Still considered "over the counter" but you still have to get it "behind the counter." just some disjointed, un-caff
  11. What movie is it? Thanks!

Only in the subject of religion does my MIL try and circumvent our parenting. Which makes me batty. I've started taking them to a Unitarian church to circumvent her..

  14. Someone picked a pope? sorry I'll show myself. Hope everyone is okay.
  15. in our case, the high school bus rolled by and said "y'all are still standing here?" and then she radio'd the bus barn. Then after that discussion, they were told to hop on and she took them to school after her route to high school.
  16. We had a no show situation earlier this year. They had to ride the high school bus for a loop and then back to the elementary school.
