My father in law had a stroke a couple weeks ago and the Neuro doc that he used in the hospital was Dr. Kaplan. He was GREAT! very informative, very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. He is based out of Cobb I think. We were very pleased with him.

Awesome post. I have a friend who has a 7 year old with Autism. When it comes to Halloween he has never wanted to dress up as anything but a little boy. He wasn't into trick or treating really but this year he wanted to dress as a ghost and she was so excited that he wanted to dress up. He says he can't wait to go around to houses and say "Trick or treat, treat please" haha

I just voted at Poplar Springs baptist church and I got there at 11:55 and walked out at 12:33. There was a line but it moved pretty quickly. I was number 439 voter so far of the day for that location. They said it had been steady since they opened the doors

According to the scanner they were airlifting a lady who had fallen in her back yard by being knocked down by her doggie and couldn't move her left leg and hip. Atleast that's the one I think it was for. I was listening in between phone calls

I hate to hear of this man's passing..such a tragic event. I do have to say this also...didn't the news stories say it was a combined task force of several agencies? Everyone is out to put blame on the PCSO but couldn't it have been one of the other officers from another district? Just sayin....since we don't know all the details, we shouldn't put blame on one particular organization. No matter how you spin it, someone lost a life and that is tragic enough in itself.

according to band dude, the parade is same as last year but the band will be ending at the Luthern church on the corner by the silver comet trail. Parade route last year started at City Hall, went down main st, to the back roads by Hiram Elementary, on 92 for a short distance ending back at City Hall. All really good advice so far. In my experience with all the weddings I have worked...keep one thing in mind....No matter what happens that day before the wedding or during, be it good or annoying, just go with the flow and move past it, don't dwell on it. My best friend was trying to find out about this one. Her daughter used to attend school with this girl at the private school. They were getting conflicting stories about what happened to her. I feel for both families involved. I don't know how I would handle it and hope I never have to. Praying for these families today and the days to come.

I was told that Dr. Phil has gotten wind of this story and has offered free counseling for this boy for however long it takes and also that extended family of the boy from up north somewhere is trying to get custody of the girls and have offered for him to live with them as well. Not sure of the truth in all this, just relaying what I was told.

Thanks for putting that out there. My daughter is 18 but we have not had her license renewed from a class D. I thought it was by age not by class. Guess when she is home from college in Oct. we will go get that taken care of.

Yep I told my neighbor that she would probably get a letter this afternoon from the school explaining the entire situation.

Neighbor just text me back and said her daughter said they are still on soft lockdown until they find the kid whatever that means. I would assume if they came in behind the bus they would have searched each kid on that bus..but who knows. I am just going off details from one person.

my neighbors daughter attends Paulding and told her that the kid had the gun on the bus. Not sure if that is accurate or not, just what she was told.

Had a young woman come to my door last night at 9:30pm. When I cracked open the door she said I'm so sorry it's late but I have to make my quota for today or I can't go home. She had a heavy accent but I was so mad that she would come to my door at 9:30 at night that I didn't even give her a chance to explain what she was selling. I said no thank you and shut the door. That sucks..my hubby gets stung all the time when he is doing inspections. I'm surprised he hasn't turned into one by now as much as they sting him.
