  1. If she is on a month to month agreement the owner has to give her 30 days notice in writing that she wants her out. If she doesn't leave by then, the owner can file a dispossessory proceeding with the courts and that will take a month or two to process but it will also show on her credit. I wouldn't wait for the foreclosure sale if the owner is getting the short sale approved, that could take forever. I am not a real estate agent but have experience in the industry... Has she considered qualifying for a mortgage and buying the house in the short sale process? She could get an excel

  5. Link to 11 Alive Story ATLANTA -- A 79-year-old Atlanta woman has been arrested on drug charges after police found nine pounds of marijuana in her home. Norma Cheren is being held in the Fulton County Jail. Police say they followed one of Cheren's alleged customers after hearing about a possible drug deal and found marijuana in the woman's car. Police say the woman told authorities where she bought the drug and Cheren was arrested Thursday after police raided her house. Authorities say they found a large container full of marijuana and more than $130,000 in cash stored in met
  6. But again, if an email address is not entered then it won't let them go any further. I find online account access an invaluable tool along with paper statements when I lose one. I understand others don't but there are ways to prevent it... I get your point and frustration but this story isn't a really good case of pointing out the bad... Holy crap...
  7. But don't you have to opt into paperless statements? I have never seen a company put you on paperless statements if they don't have a valid email address on file. Our system won't even let you select the option for paperless unless an email is entered. If they don't feel they are computer savvy they should just advise their service provider they do not have an email address. I get paper statements on everything and can also look up my statements online, so I don't think the argument they are not computer savvy holds water....
  8. Nope, no pic is there... I saw it the other day though and agree with GB...
  9. I look at all of my bank accounts every day and can tell you to the dollar before I open it what should be in all of them. This woman is less than smart not to do the same.... (<---Nice version of what I wanted to say...)

  11. If it's on the internet it must be true...
  12. Good luck with your daughter... I have to admit I am guilty of the bad tone sometimes and I have to work on that but people who think their way is the only way irk me... This is of course with exception to Lady Raider and Lowrider, I plan on giving them hell for eternity and beyond...
  13. I grasp exactly what you are saying but apparently you don't grasp what I am saying. So I will say it slower.... Do you really think that $1 in I N T E R E S T They are getting their money later than sooner but all they are really losing is the I N T E R E S T Which again probably equals to about a buck a month. Which AGAIN makes sense for those people who may not have the financial abilities to come up with the $1000 they spent during the month. Then they owe even more to the IRS in the form of penalties and int
  14. Ok, I gotta hear it, how in the world do you figure they would get several hundred dollars a month in interest? I would like to see your math and invest with you....
  15. Yeah cuz that extra $1 a month in interest would have been a real windfall to the recipient... If they don't have the discipline or means readily to pull $1000 out of their butts it's much better to aim for a small refund instead of the harsh penalties and interest the IRS would charge them. Face it, not everyone is financially savvy and this route often keeps them out of trouble.
  16. Could have been worse, you could have gotten an automated call about a late bus WHILE being stepped on! See, glass half full!
  17. Or stall with "testing" of forms until March!
