Has Mr. Cole and the school board done the right thing
katcol replied to WHITEY's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The books are becoming obsolete too quickly. It's difficult not having them but I have to say, someone is using their head on this one. We will have access to our son's science book online. Hope to see more of this in the near future. If they aren't going to have actual textbooks anyway, at least offer a book online. MOST kids will be able to access it. Best idea yet. LPPT: Thanks for the info about the salaries. As long as we see these things followed through on, that says a lot about these individuals. I just have to wonder.... How much money would be saved by going back to -
Agreed, 6:00 is still hot but thank God they acknowledged the danger in some way. Didn't catch the details but I just saw on the news (was it yesterday?) that yet another teen had died due to heat stroke after slipping into a coma for a week. SO NOT WORTH IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I abhore lawsuits but I hope the family sues the pants off of the establishment that forced this type of training...if it was done with the same carelessness that is typical of the sport. Maybe the pocketbook would make a difference since precious lives don't seem to. Our son needs exercise but

LR, Thank you so much for giving a heads-up! That's not our school but it would make all the difference to us, knowing ahead of time why there was a news van at our child's school. You rock! Oh yeah...Go with the sex scandal (adult only). That won't throw parents into a panic about their kids. People who aren't into gossip will move on and those who have too much interest in other people's lives will have a field day!

Dad and stepmom live there. Always talking about the nature that surrounds them. You would probably really enjoy it there. There are bears that show themselves occassionally and you have to learn to live so that you don't attract them.

With all the things allowed in our media and on our radios...is this really that shocking? "Sex in the air,...." Etc, Etc, Etc...

She is phenomenal!

That is an excellent point!

Try putting it in a super secret savings account. I used to put stuff like that in the credit union so that I'd be very inconvenienced to get it out. Now we have brances out here, though.

While you were sleeping Miss Congeniality Lake House -Love Sandra Bullock-

No reward needed or wanted. Pay it forward.

You're right, that would be cute!

I wonder how far away you are from us. Our daughter is the same way. She's going into 9th this year, too. She even has one cat who's had to have shots twice a day for years. She's never even blinked. Maybe they should join forces! My daughter gets paid about the same. The ones who use her have learned that she is the go-to girl around here as far as dependability. She feels guilty if she can't handle them every time. It'd be nice to have some backup or vice-verse, I guess. We are in South Paulding. P.S. Our DD didn't step out that early, though! Tell your DD that is awesome!!!

Thanks Tuscany and JTH. I needed somewhere to start. I've seen Dr. Weselman before awhile back and really liked her. When I dialed the number and heard Wellstar, I didn't know if she would practice in the same manner or if Wellstar would dictate how she would direct patients. Glad to hear from someone who currently sees her. Tuscany, does your guy take insurance? The only thing that scares me about seeing him is the money. Not that I know anything about him, just imagine that it would be expensive.

NOW it all makes sense! I've always hated the name Charlie for a guy (my dad's name is Charlie, too ) but LOVE the name Charli for a girl. Seems like a strong, sassy female name. Hey, with those credentials, maybe I'm still interested! My guess is that most guys feel intimidated by you. May need to "up" your standards...lol. We're planning something new this summer. Stepping into the dreaded cheerleading and football arena. Should be interesting. Wonder how long we'll last. Never done well with nasty parents. Meditating and chanting..."going in positive"...."pare

Need help getting to the right Dr. Here's a little history: Problem One: Really bad endometriosis, gutted like a fish about 7 years ago. Scared to take replacement hormones since estrogen feeds any remaining endometrial tissue. Problem Two: Have some form of arthritis, has shown up in x-rays. Lately the pain has become cumbersome so I asked the family dr. for a daily treatment. He wanted bloodwork and for the first time in years, ANA levels are elevated. This could indicate anything from Rheumatoid arthritis to Hashimoto's thyroiditis to Lupus, etc. Aging too fast, hair

Wow.....Are you married? J/K! Sounds like a fabulous plan. Have a wonderful summer!

Willing to bet that s/one took the card and dropped the wallet, then a decent person saw it and turned it in.

If you breast feed your child past the age of 2 in public
katcol replied to Lady Raider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I think what LLPT was saying was that we should have a little more patience with the mom of an infant, who is solely dependent upon breastmilk and has to be fed every two hours to sustain. Although you are right, there should still be some form of modesty. Not everyone takes into consideration the sleep deprivation, etc. that an infant's mom is dealing with in addition to having to go through this routine every two hours, which means mom has about 1 1/2 hours in between each feeding. Mom's bound to be imperfect at some point. -
Thanks for thinking for me. What are these and how much? I mean, are they candles or something different? Oh, it says warmer...does it require a tea candle?

Dang, you got one of those mountain man strippers, for free? -
Not so sure about that. We're a very complacent lot. Trump might get the votes just because that's the only name people feel a true connection to.
-
At the risk of getting something started....what would be so bad about having Trump? He's not the least be intimidated by any old school crap. He comes in and takes charge, bringing new ways and questioning old without abandon. He takes it straight to the heart, no matter who's heart it is. That sounds like exactly what we need!

Someone who knows what she's talking about. I'm with you, Jenilyn. Don't have time for this. People seem to need this bashing for their own stress release. I'll leave them with it as well.

I was trying to hold back my pit-defense in respect of this child. Idiots should not be allowed access to these dogs. The dogs deserve better. Hope this child is ok!
