  1. Before 10? Be glad you don't live in my hood. And yes, if you had a neighbor who did this to the point she is talking about, I'll bet you would be addressing it.
  2. Sorry. I feel your pain. When ds got a little motorcycle that we thought was loud we would only allow him to ride for about 30 minutes in a day due to the noise. Figured others were out running their pressure washers and leaf blowers anyway. I was a nervous wreck...because of the noise! Luckily it was so hard to crank he got tired of trying. Cannot stand when people are oblivious to those around them.
  3. Thanks for trying, Riograce. I didn't get the message that I had gotten a response on here. We finally found a condo. It wasn't beachfront but what does one expect, right? It was kinda nice anyway. Just took forever to find.
  4. So we made reservations, of course! In addition to the place being aweful, there was no elevator. My friend has been through a long drawn out ankle injury w/surguries included so no stairs for her. Anybody know of any decent place that's available? Maybe someone who had a cancellation? We are loosing faith, right now sharing a suite (2 adults, 4 kids). Why, oh why did we try this? My pcom family usually has an answer for everything so I thought I'd give it a shot.
  5. So far it's still great. Have to go out of town next week so that's a huge relief to not be driving the van we kept for 11 years!
  6. Alright, guys. I might not have done my best but I was so sick of dealing with it! Had to move forward. Got a 2009 Kia Burrango. Still has lots of warranty and we even bit the bullet and bought more warranty, just in case, since this payment will leave no room for repair money. The new autos that would fit a great dane + three labs, etc. all started at 29K, even Kia and Hyundai. And that was with Costo's pricing, Edmunds, KBB, CR. This vehicle had 34K miles and lots of extras, even ready for towing. Thank you all so much for all of your help!!!!
  7. I like that idea! Ahhh. And that's the first thing they want to know.
  8. Ha! I told hubby that my p.com peeps would get me where I needed to be! Thank each and every one of you. And I even qualify for one of the hidden discounts! Thanks, teamchiro! Doing internet thing. Looking into Sam's and USAA. Looking more seriously at the Santa Fe. Unfortunately we are not members w/Greystone Credit Union but Georgia's Own is offering us pretty good rates. You guys rock!!!!!!!
  9. Thanks, guys. mei lan, I've been fighting for a used car. We will not be able to afford repairs if we take this leap. That is why everyone is pushing me to get a new one...warranties. I despise the thought of taking the hit on the depreciation. I do not long for the new car smell or gain any satisfaction in being a first owner. Maybe some newer used cars would have transferrable warranties. Anyone know if Hyndai's warranty is transferrable? It's a 5 year/100K mile warranty if I remember correctly. Oh, credit union will not give a loan on older than 2008.
  10. According to a family poll, it's better to just bite the bullet and purchase new with all the finance deals and rebates offered right now. According to dh, even Clark Howard is saying so. (I haven't varified this.) Anywho...I cannot find any list on the net of dealer incentives. Just links to fill out my info to have a sales associate contact me. Anyone know the best approach at getting the bestest deal on a new car? Looking for s/thing reliable, big enough for the family w/big dogs, etc. but s/thing that still gets at least ok gas mileage. So far looks like Toyota Rav4 or High
  11. Juliet, she is ADORABLE!!!!!!!!!!! And yes, these things are incredibly rigged. There is one locally that a friend had her dd in. Someone told her that a particular girl would place...to which the other moms said, of course there was no way this girl would place. The person told them that that girl's mom would pitch such a fit at the end, if her dd didn't place, that it was easier on them to just give the girl a placing. She placed. And don't even get me started on what this does for the self esteem of those who do not win. As you can tell...I'm not the biggest fan. Having
  12. It was ninety-something for the kit. They show it at over $100 but give a 10% discount as first time purchase. It's a bottle of the Shampoo, the Treatment and the Creme Rinse. They say it should last three months. I don't know about that but I have been using mine VERY sparingly.
  13. Trying it now. Too soon to tell. Also doing vitamins, though.
  14. Strong Coffee: Green Mountain Dark Magic! Also, you can re-use the k-cups with your own bag of Starbucks, Folgers, etc. Just order the metal reusable lids (the plastic ones never lined up properly on ours). So far the metal lids have been the easiest to use. We got ours off of ebay. K-saver.com is samped on them. You can always use the $20 deal that keurig sells to brew from your own bag of coffee but you have to pop out the black "rim" area where the cup sets down to accomodate the k-cup deal. A lot of trouble to go through. Also, they sell the "one use" foil seals, usually
  15. Could not come soon enough!! Just curious...do most countries torture their citizens over taxes or is it just us? One entity should NEVER have so much individual power yet answer to no one, unless of course the totalitarian plan is what we're trying for.
  16. Hey, we built a storage building on top of ours in Clayton County because we went by the map that they county had on record. Ooops! Couldn't have been more wrong. It was quite a sight to see us trying to move an entire building off the thing with a huge hill at the edge of the building. Took pictures of both tanks being installed a this house. Still, the front one somehow ended up underneath the front landscaped area. So much for the bushes and such. Still trying to figure out what to put there to fill it back in (right in the middle of a front shrubby area). I guess a little remo
  17. I know I've been looking for alternatives to shampoos with sodium laurel sulfate. In researching hair loss it seams that shampoos with that or similar ingredients does something to the hair folicles to encourage hair loss. The newer line of Ovation Cell Therapy boasts about not having this in it's list of ingredients so apparently they feel that there's something to it as well.
  18. MSNBC reporting the same. Do not know the cause of death.
  19. Sorry you are going through this! 32 years is a long time. Hopefully this will be a bright new chapter in your life. Sounds like you are already acknowledging the positive side of this situation. Good for you! (quiet time, cleaner house, etc) I agree that the best revenge is your doing well.....no, your doing fantastic! Don't waste another minute on either of them.
  20. Good point. If others have found a way to do it, maybe there is a way that is less expensive?
