I called my sister in Indiana (just right over the Illinois line) And she is snowed in ! Her work called & told her not to come in . Schools are closed (rare) My neice in Chicago was called & told not to come to work . Your friend is lucky to live by Navy Pier . Beautiful area .

Like I have said before . I had a wonderful neighbor from England and she could not believe how good we had it here . Also , her mother needed gallbladder surgery back in the day , her mother was on a 6 month waiting list . Luckily her parents had connections in Canada & were able to fly her tere for her surgery . I was watching that Dr. Drew show And someone (I forgot who) made an interesting point . They said one does not instantly become an addict. they said it can be a long process. 10 to 20 years . Then they said it takes just as long to become sober . I am sorry for your friend You can try an intervention But as long as she is with her friends & boyfriend who use she won't change . So sad
