It depends where you want to go . Carnival is more of a party cruise . When we went , we did not want to party so we went on a Norwegian Cruise line . We went to St. Thomas, St. John, St. Martin, St. Croix, and their private island (my favorite day) . If you go after August , it is cheaper, but you may run into hurricane season & rougher water . My brother lives in North Carolina and he says he has to get a safety sicker on his vehicle every year . he has to pay a $30.00 fee for the safety inspection ! Plus his emmission test Many people do not pass the safety inspection ! Broken lights, crack in windshield , bald tires . Just another fee they cannot afford ! It's getting crazy out there !
