  1. Wow that's great. Can you give us the brands you use? I am thinking of a kitchen remodel soon also so I am interested in brands that last.
  2. I can't remember the name of the road but Fair Oaks was on up from fairground. Behind the Marietta Cemetery and it runs along side of the railroad tracks. Do you remember Hunt's Ice Cream shop? That is the road where Fair Oaks was located. I didn't live in the Monopoly apartments. I lived across fairground in the duplexes built long before I was born. Just across the road from the apartments. On down are the old folks duplexes. My grandaddy lived there when they were first built.
  3. The Sixth Sense was a good movie. It's a little scary not much though. It's the ending that is mind blowing. It's about a kid that talks to dead people. Another really scary gore show is a television show called The Walking Dead. The first season is out on CD, I think there are 9 episodes. Walmart has the set. The Walking Dead is my favorite horror show, it can stand up to any movie. It takes place in Atlanta and filmed in Georgia. Zombies everywhere.
  4. There were duplexes and apartments for the employees back in the Bomber Plant days. I am a second generation Lockheed employee retired, and I am nowhere near 60. I did live in one of the duplexes when I first married in the early 80's. Fair Oaks is was at the end of the runway on the Naval side of the AFB. There use to be a drive in theater there that is now part of the Southern Tech campus.
  5. OMG! I remember that. It was like the boogy man was in our area.We lived in Smyrna and my dad worked at Lockheed at the time. I still think that little girl and those apartments when I go by there. They looked like Monopoly houses.
  6. Up at seven. Merry Christmas to all and to all a goodnight.
  7. That's a beautiful kitchen any girl would be proud to call her's.
  8. Them?Just to locate an owner.
  9. Shakespeare was criticized by many for the violence in his works. Romeo and Juliet was going to make young lovers commit suicide. Violence is always going to be around...always. Speaking of violence there are many nonlethal ways to subdue an attacker if you are trained. I am not trained in physical self defense. I have injuries preventing that type of defense. The problem is do you use mace or a stun gun on an attacker using a firearm? As for me I don't want to get that close to find out. I can be overtaken up close, that's why I prefer long range protection myself.
  10. Was the owner ever found? The dog could have been micro-chipped.
  11. What a lovely sight. May you and yours have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS!
  12. You know, you really do come off as a pious know nothing. Do you have any friends in real life? Nothing personal. Just a observation.
  13. There are no big all powerful unions anymore. Regan started the union busting when he fired the air traffic controllers. My old local has been negotiated back to the stone age by the company. Freeriders sucked the life out of unions and scabs leave scars.
  14. My mom passed in 1999 and nothing has been the same since. She loved Christmas, gardening and being a great mom. I miss her everyday. Hug's and warm thoughts for everyone. I have read all of your postings. Each and every one is so heartfelt and touching. I am so sorry for your losses. This is a very sentimental time of year for some of us. Your inspirational words let me feel that I'm not alone. Thank you,,, Merry Christmas to you all.
  15. Me! Me! Me! I am a card totin' member, with a decal on the back of my truck. So are a lot of other mainstream people like me.
  16. As a former band nerd I say, whooopppie! CONGRATULATIONS ! It take a lot of hard work and long hours to get to NUMBER ONE!.
  17. I would keep the largest, most powerful super soaker handy for the bullies.
  18. You can ask my ex-employer and the workerscomp insurance rep what a sucker I am. I stood my ground for two years and stuck them a new one. It's just a shame the injured(really injured) workers are getting the shaft. Not me, I studied the laws in and out. Then I studied the company's big Atlanta law firm's handbook on how to screw employees out of their benefits. I stood up and I came through it. I would get them so mad catching them in lies, the insurance rep would jump up and down. When I know I am in the right you can't stop me. My mom and dad taught me right is right and wrong is wro
  19. Now that's rock from the 80's.
