  1. Great idea! But first you should try to convince the government not to let the terrorists into the country in the first place, then to be a little more diligent in watching and keep track of them since they are supposed to be on the terrorist watch list. But how does that have anything to do with taking away the 2nd amendment for the rest of the people? And how would it have saved the woman shot yesterday? Did the gun walked on its own to her house? Did it fire on its own too? Is it the gun to blame or perhaps the person who pulled the trigger?
  2. Brilliant is all you can say when your own brilliant idea is to blame it on the guns. Sure, let's take them away and don't do anything about the mentality of the people. It's not like they will obey the laws and won't go buy those guns on the street illegally. oh NOOOOO that will NEVER happen.
  3. All your chart is showing that there is a problem... with the way things are handled in United States. And you have shown that the rate is much MUCH lower in the other countries. Have you thought that maybe, just maybe, it's the way the country itself as a whole thinks, acts and reacts?
  4. United States is the only country in the world with overflowing jails and the tax payers supporting all of the inmates. There are countries in this world that don't sentence for every minor thing and their crime rate is a lot lower than US. Those same countries also have made guns and drugs legal. Their rates of crime are still the lowest. But I'm sure you've already heard of those places...
  5. And from this I gather that getting a restraining order against someone is just asking for them to reach their "psychological breaking point" which would result in the victim being in the blame for ending up dead?
  6. The distraction of blaming an object that by itself is just an intricate devise is nothing more than a tiresome old diversion from facing the problem with the people who hold that gun. There is an old Chinese method of healing the sick people: you don't treat the illness, you treat the patient.
  7. It's about time too. All day yesterday it kept threatening with no show. Let it pour, I say.
  8. Ingles has them too. I even saw some this Spring. Thought about getting couple myself but do people really still use them as brooms or just as nice smelling decorations?
  9. Technically, you feel the effects in full force for 3 days: one before, one during, one after. And mercury is grinding his wheels to go stationary before going back direct. ALL communications are advised to be conducted with caution, less there will be a twist followed by a splat, followed by another twist, possibly ending with a boom. So basically... DON'T TALK TO ANYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  10. It's not just ugly but disturbing the way the mother is encouraging this kind of behavior. Taking a picture with her son sticking up his middle finger? You call that parenting??? I can just imagine her telling her son: "oh don't worry honey, spitting on other kids is your way to express yourself too. Nobody should be punished for that, let alone my sweet little baby. It's those other kids who should be paddled for being such whiners!"
  11. You're talking about the difference of having someone help you with a speech and someone writing the speech for you. Once again, Whitey and others in his group have been claiming that they write their own speeches. Yet, there is a distinguishable difference between their normal manner of speech and writing styles and those they deliver during the meetings. Think of it like fingerprints, everyone has unique ones. Manners of speaking and writing do too. Quite a few of those speeches I heard from the group sound unlike those individuals' usual ways of speaking and writing. That tells me the
  12. You can't tell that to some people who claim to be "transparent and honest citizens" and who swear up and down that their speeches were not written by anyone but themselves. I find it hypocritical and unethical, especially when it's used to spread deliberately incorrect and unverifiable by facts information fed to them by someone "behind the curtain" in order to create unfounded fears in the public.
  13. Who wrote your speeches, Whitey? It sure wasn't you if you compare the linguistics of the speeches you have been presenting at all those BOC and PCAA meetings and your babble here...
  14. You will care when your identity is stolen and when you're getting tons of calls offering you products based on your online shopping habits.
  15. There are few things I don't like with Windows 10 and one of them is that they automatically collect all of your data. No matter how much you try to change the settings, it goes back to them recording it. I feel like it's an invasion of my privacy and I really don't care for someone to sell the information on how I pay my bills, what I buy from amazon and the top 10 things I google from my personal computer. I will be downgrading my laptop back to Windows 7.
  16. I had the package that's below 1Gbp because at the time I didn't want to pay more a month and my package included unlimited data when I first signed up. However, I loved my Uverse and had less problems with it in 4 years than I've had with Comcast in 6 months. I know if they would offer it at my house now, I'll switch over immediately.
  17. It is a common practice in some of the other states. When I visit my family up north, I see that all the time, especially with independently owned gas stations vs chains like Wawa or Racetrack.
  18. That was a job of our school nurses and before a child could return to school they had to go back to the nurse or have a note from their doctor saying the kid was treated and lice were gone. I guess common sense would be to have a policy to notify the parents of an outbreak and to make sure kids didn't go back to school the next day still infected with lice. But what do I know... I'm just a parent.
  19. I'm going to buy me a huge box of chocolates and have a girl's night out with my daughter and sister, while we're leaving my son and his best friend fend for themselves and watch over the fur babies (Valentine's Day is my mutt's 9th birthday and she might think my daughter's new puppy is her special dinner). Good thing school is out 2 days next week and I won't have to travel back home in a rush or still recovering from the girl's night out. With those two, I never know what we'll get into but it sure is never dull.
  20. You are a much better person than me, then. I'm sorry if I offended you with my opinion about Todd Pownell and we're both entitled to our opinions. To say simply that I don't buy his "sincerity" act is an understatement. While I don't agree with the the other 2 commissioners, and I did get a chance to speak with Tony Crowe even if briefly, I find their actions to stem from their belief they are doing good for the community not out of grudge and hurt ego. As for you not being welcome at the meeting because you were banned from their Facebook page, I would say why don't you give it a try.
  21. I was with you up until that funny thing you mentioned called "compromise". The last time I heard of any offer of compromise towards the Airport was that "tearful" speech by Todd Pownall that basically said " do it our way and our way only and we'll call it a compromise". Now with that said... I agree with that other poster above, the one from 80%. At this point, who cares who started what, can we get on with it already?! Although, I'm not sure if h/she has ever attend Let Paulding Fly meetings where, BIG SURPRISE! airport is not the main dish on the menu and it's ALL about improving P
  22. Or a good size tote on its side with blankets inside it. With this weather the box will get wet in no time. And yes, cat love the boxes and it would provide some kind of a shelter if he/she is too afraid to come close and be taken inside.
  23. I wish I had uverse in my area. Instead I got stuck with comcast. In 4 years that I had uverse, I've never had as many problems or worse customer service as I do now. Not to mention it was a lot cheaper and faster.
  24. This time of the year especially is when I would be suspicious of strange people looking into windows of houses. Or loitering around neighborhoods. First time ever in years I had a package stolen right from my front door in the middle of a broad day light. Saw it there when I was pulling into garage, but since I was out for a while had to take my dog outback when I got in first. By the time I was back, literally minutes later, the box was gone. Neighbors are never home at that time in the afternoon so nobody saw anything. So yep, I'd be suspicious of anyone right about now.
