Tundra we all view this issue from our POV and it is a sad note that one cant change their opinion or at least refine it in light of time and new information. I agree Tundra things have gotten way out of control and people need to stop screaming at each other and talking to each other. I think Town Hall meetings are a wonderful things and I would imagine since they were served, a trip to the court house may reveal the exact details.....Failing to give prior notice seems to be more of an Ethics violation and I am surprised that is handled in that matter, seems odd and why would the other commissioners be involved?

I think in order to determine that, one would have to request tax digest information for several decades to see if the % of ad valerem taxes for residential properties decreased as a % of taxes collected or a function or revenues received. There is a place on the state site where you used to be able to get tax digest info by County as the State collected that information. I'll look to see if I can find it, and I can remember the level of detail it had; it may be more high level...

So the big question is right now, who else might run? I know who my choice is if it is between Pownall and Carmichael and I will come right out say airport be damned, I would vote for Carmichael. Bombs away....

thank you. I have been meaning to write a longer post with the whole correlation does not imply causation bit. However, I just dont see our taxes going down with all the infrastructure needed to support a commercial airport when you have given away 97.5% of the profits and I am sure any decent businesses will be given abatements. So call me negative Nellie- but I think taxes will go up to pay for infrastructure improvements and the County will not do right by those that need to be put on public water, but oh that would mean our taxes go up even more....

The county just needs to come up with hundreds of millions of dollars to run public water to everyone currently on well water. Double that to add sewer.
