I fully expect the 139 to be issued in 2016 or 2017 at the latest. It ain't the end of the world..... swingers will still be swinging up in Bentwater/Seven Hills..... -

Tundra we all view this issue from our POV and it is a sad note that one cant change their opinion or at least refine it in light of time and new information. My biggest issue with this airport debacle is still the way it was done in the sense that there appears to be the real possibility that unintentional or intentional shortcuts to procedures, etc. were taken and potential violations of open meetings laws were taken by our own elected officials and appointed authority members. The courts will ultimately sort thru the issue and decide if it was intentional or not. As far as the loose lip -

I agree Tundra things have gotten way out of control and people need to stop screaming at each other and talking to each other. I think a lot of us have said things we shouldn't have in the heat of the moment, but we can choose to wake up tomorrow and do things differently. Patti and I had the opportunity recently to meet with Brett and Mark over at Propeller and I came out of the meeting with a different POV about them. They are really nice people and got the impression that they would be willing to sit down with others too. I hope you will consider talking to them. Something really has -

But Pubby, it is apparent the folks here in Paulding do not want to hear dissenting opinions, no less have have anyone counter their opinion. Nothing less than accolades being spewed forth non stop in support of their stances will ever suffice........ 1st amendment be damned... Guess that is the first to go when the Constitutional Convention opens up.. The only right anyone will have is the right to agree with them, cause they are, according to them, 100% right all the time, lol....... -
I think Town Hall meetings are a wonderful things and I would imagine since they were served, a trip to the court house may reveal the exact details.....Failing to give prior notice seems to be more of an Ethics violation and I am surprised that is handled in that matter, seems odd and why would the other commissioners be involved?

Good gawd, between ISIS and this stupid airport issue, BFE Montana in the winter ain't looking too shabby...

A lot of places will have them. Academy, Walmart Home Depot. Dont forget the $15 jug of peanut oil but it is very tasteful. I would also recommend a cajun injector of some sort.

I have fed feral cats for years and what I have seen is that the spring litter would have 4-5 and the fall litter would be smaller, 2-3. I have never any I have fed have 3 litters...

I would imagine that there was a non disclosure agreement at play there that complicated what Mr. Carmichael could say vs. what he might like have like to have possibly said, just playing the devil's advocate here.... of course average voters think in terms of black and white and well all I see are shades of grey on issues, of well...

Here is the document I was thinking about. They only have 2013 up on the Department of Revenue site. Maybe it has the level of information you need... http://dor.georgia.gov/documents/summary-ad-valorem-taxes-levied-georgia-counties-tax-year-2013

I think in order to determine that, one would have to request tax digest information for several decades to see if the % of ad valerem taxes for residential properties decreased as a % of taxes collected or a function or revenues received. There is a place on the state site where you used to be able to get tax digest info by County as the State collected that information. I'll look to see if I can find it, and I can remember the level of detail it had; it may be more high level...

Commissioner Carmichael SAVES the County $$$
Rose Luxemburg replied to efhutton's topic in RECENT TOPICS
So the big question is right now, who else might run? I know who my choice is if it is between Pownall and Carmichael and I will come right out say airport be damned, I would vote for Carmichael. Bombs away.... -
West GA Spay neuter in Villa Rica has very reasonable rates for spay/neuter of feral cats. You trap, take them down there, get them fixed and release...

Commissioner Carmichael SAVES the County $$$

I think the plan is for Todd to wait to announce his run for Chairman so that the hand selected candidate to replace him for Post 2 will have a much better chance of getting elected in a special election where the name of the game is rallying the troops to the poll, which the anti-commercialization folks are very good at. Taxpayer expense be damned- cause you know, its like manna from heaven... -
thank you. I have been meaning to write a longer post with the whole correlation does not imply causation bit. However, I just dont see our taxes going down with all the infrastructure needed to support a commercial airport when you have given away 97.5% of the profits and I am sure any decent businesses will be given abatements. So call me negative Nellie- but I think taxes will go up to pay for infrastructure improvements and the County will not do right by those that need to be put on public water, but oh that would mean our taxes go up even more....

The county just needs to come up with hundreds of millions of dollars to run public water to everyone currently on well water. Double that to add sewer.
