  1. CC define a hate crime. Is there such a thing as minority on white hate crimes? Does the term and charge only apply to white on minority crime? Stretch or not I would like some answers if they are available and valid. Why is every white on minority attack a hate crime? Reverse the players and it is just a disgruntled co worker or a mentally insane person. This attack was premeditated with an escape plan. Does a mentally incompetent person have the facilities to premeditate? Was the perpetrator driven by hate or not? Regardless of the origin of this hate he hated these two. I am not being obtus
  2. I admit I rely on people like Tundra for the details. Then I make my own decisions based on the available facts submitted from both sides. I will disclose that I live near the airport but south of the runway and not under the approach/departure paths. What I do know is Paulding is not a great viable location for a commercial field. Cobb, Gwinnet or even North Fulton seem much more viable. My conclusions are based on number of surrounding feeder businesses, tax base, proximity to interstates, proximity to heavy rail, proximity to customers (population) and acceptance by the local populace. I re
  3. They are paving Zion Church Road in Hulseytown expect delays.
  4. Perhaps a reading comprehension class would help some of you. I said nothing about race war or retaliation. I did use some apparently ineffective sarcasm at the end of the OP. I have friends of all colors, races, religions and sexual preferences so don't make something out of this that it is not. Instead of making this about me answer the questions. Where is the outrage? Why is there a double standard? What if the race roles had been reversed? Where is the great conscious of mind of the POS POTUS? Why does the left support criminals based on political views not reality? Why does the media
  5. I understand the "nuance" in this case. It does not however change the fact that in his manifesto. At least that is what I have from several various news sources, not including Fox news by the way. It stated he was pushed over the edge by the SC shootings. Pushed over the edge because he felt he was discriminated against because he was black and gay. The two victims did not fire him, their bosses did. How is this not a hate crime? If the shooter was white and the victims were black the media and liberals would have labeled it a hate crime before the camera went off. I am not necessarily saying
  6. There was a tragic senseless murder that occurred on live TV yesterday in Virginia. A white reporter and a white camera man were ambushed and shot down like dogs on live TV. The murdering scum bag was a disgruntled, racist, hate filled, premeditated, black man. Where are all the protestors? Where is your (not mine) POS POTUS? Is he going to have a news conference about hate crimes? Where are the riots and looting? I understand this was not done by a police officer like the MO shooting but how is it any different from the church shooting in SC? The perpetrator had very similar motives and targe
  7. Many times they are picked green, frozen and shipped from the west coast or South America. Even local fruits are usually not vine ripened because of shelf time.
  8. I was in my office trailer at Plant Bowen that morning. One of the GP guys came in and told me to get to a radio. I was responsible for 110 men on the site at that time. News spread fast and my guys were obviously upset and many wanted to evacuate. At the time the largest fossil fuel power plant east of the Mississippi was a possible target. I walked the site and met with everyone of them trying to stay cool. You lead by example I have always believed that. All the contractor supervision met with GP and Southern Company Services in the main complex. We all took a vote and decided to stay and k
  9. Yes at least 3-4 people I know of. Most over 50 years old.
  10. Punky, I happen to live "in Paulding Forest" and yes my opposition is based entirely on that. I do not have to justify any other reason. Quality of life and environment trumps private interest every time in my world. The airport was built against the wishes of the general populace, using back room unethical tactics to benefit a very small handful of the robber baron politicians and developers. I remember the non binding county wide ballot poll before the stupid airstrip to nowhere was built. It ask the county voters if they thought we needed an airport. The nays beat the yays. Same poll do we
  11. Mr. Carter is the only POTUS I have personally met. He was a very outgoing friendly man at that time. I probably do not agree with many if any of his political views. I think he is a very good person at heart and means well even if he is somewhat naïve on some issues. I understand his family history and age concerning his diagnosis is not promising. However never count the peanut farmer from Plains out...ask the media and GOP about 1976. And yes Cancer Sucks!
  12. Long thread and I have not had time to read it yet but a couple of quick comments until I read the whole thing. I have no problem downsizing government so good for the "insurgents". Putsy you have turned this board into basically your blog and it doesn't seem to be a good business plan. Really "insurgents", something I would expect from a troll. Secondly no love loss for Delta here but they employ a hell of a lot of people and are a major contributor to the State economy. How they pursue a business plan, including limiting competition, is their business. Create a billion dollar business and yo
  13. I saw the Arm & Hammer reply. I was going to suggest baking soda, cheap as hell, will absorb most odors. I think the A & H fancy stuff is probably 98% baking soda with some au de toilet added.
  14. El Nopal- Rockmart (Americanized) The Lazy Donkey- Carrollton (Traditional)
  15. Interesting points LPPT and I do agree with you on many issues. I have never or never supported greed. Corporate or individual and I do believe a huge part of this economy is built on greed. I believe that greed absolutely contributed to the recession by outsourcing and using low wage mostly foreign workers, inflating property values and over valuing stocks. However I do believe capitalist and corporations provide more jobs than do public works or government regulated industries. At least total number per area numbers of jobs. At least the number of productive jobs not subsidized by the taxpay
  16. LPPT again my observations are off the top of my head I do not sit around and Google for sound bites/articles but I will attempt to answer your questions. The oil well statement is really just a scenario meant to show a need to decrease dependence on foreign oil. The refineries do need updating and additional ones built to stabilize gas prices in times of natural disaster as well as with supply and demand price increases. These projects would also create jobs in construction. Yes I understand Strategic Oil Reserves but maybe the time has come to tap in, maybe it is a Strategic Economic Issue.
  17. He was a tremendously talented athlete in his time and I guess a pretty good dude. RIP big guy.
  18. The loss of jobs in this country is really simple. You can over analyze, chart it, paste/copy articles, debate it, argue it, etc. but it started when we gave up our manufacturing base. The American worker became "too good" to perform labor with their hands. Technology made us lazy. Young people today want a job sitting on their ass typing on a keyboard making $200k with full benefits the minute they graduate with the same degree two million other people just graduated with. Worse than that their are millions who think they are entitled to a check for no freaking work at all. The Unions believe
  19. I knew it, I knew it! Damn Redskins! Ban all tomahawks especially the high capacity ones!
  20. Nice shooting Nashville SWAT , 5.56 to the head, sweet. This SOB will not be able to sue the authorities or tie up the courts.
  21. Lighten up folks. You have to admit it is funny. I was at a horseshow in Booneville, MS a couple of years ago and the sign at the Huddle House (which is pretty much the only damn thing in Booneville) read " Two Sausage and Gravy Biskets $2.99". Not a play on words they were serious. Now that's funny. I still eight there.
