Birthdays that end in zero's 40,50,60 ect are always tough to deal with. Besides having to admit you are no longer a spring chicken the biggest thing about turning 40 is in what seems like only a couple of months you will wake up to discover you are now 50.

It's getting harder and harder to find a plain ole Barber ! I am sick of walking into these gender neutral "Salon's" and being knocked back by the smell of rotten eggs! I have to agree with you somewhat Mr Postman. Something nasty seems to happen to people when you crowd them together in cities. A job I had required me to visit rural south Ga several times a month and people just seem nicer down there. I'd have total strangers wave hello as we passed each other on the highway . Here in the city people do wave, but usually just with their middle finger.
