Welcome to PCOM!

A couple were 85 years old and had been married for sixty years. Though they were far from rich, they managed to get by because they watched their pennies. Though not young, they were both in very good health, largely due to the wife's insistence on healthy foods and exercise for the last decade. One day, their good health didn't help when they went on a rare vacation and their plane crashed, sending them off to Heaven. They reached the pearly gates, and St. Peter escorted them inside. He took them to a beautiful mansion, furnished in gold and fine silks, with a fully stocked ki

Nope, I think schools will be closed that day in observance of lumak's birthday.

Oh yeah, as a public service to other PCOM members, I'll add that there is also a Hawks game on Feb 2, 2013. Wait, the Hawks are still in Atlanta? Who knew?
-
Actually after further investigation I don't think the other thing I couldn't remember is actually on Feb 2. But I did learn that Ron White will be performing at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center on that day.

I heard it is also Groundhog day. And something else happens that day but I can't recall...

HOW TO INSTALL A SOUTHERN HOME SECURITY SYSTEM 1. Go to Goodwill and buy a pair of size 14 men's work boots. 2. Place them on your front porth along with a copy of Guns & Ammo magazine. 3. Put four giant dog dishes next to the boots and magazines. 4. Leave a note on your door that reads:

There's not much required to understand the zooster. Just replace all her posts with "I'm right. You are wrong. You are an idiot." and you'll pretty much get her point in every post.

I agree. It's guaranteed.

I must be drunk or something...I agree with everything Pubby said. -
My Top 10 1. Change my internet home page to PCOM instead of CNN since most news is posted here anyway (except for those weeks when a certain poster is on one of her 4 trips next year). 2. Buy more guns. 3. Annoy more liberals (#2 accomplishes this too). 4. Get a sense of humor. 5. Stop making new year's resolutions. 6. Buy more ammo. 7. Lose 2 pounds. 8. Travel around country stopping at every McDonald's inside hospitals (although that may hurt #7). 9. Stop eating at McDonald's. 10. Remember to use the sarcasm font as needed when posting on internet for

Let's see...if I'm a criminal in this area now I know which houses to target (the ones not on the list). Awesome! -
And it must be an NPR link.

Really? I hate to say it but in a few weeks the latest mass shooting will no longer be in the news and most people will have moved on to American Idol.

There will never be an amendment added to abolish the 2nd amendment.

Common sense would dictate that if you are going to go shoot up some place you would pick a place that you know won't have any armed citizens. Exactly!!!!!

Obamacare Could Double Health Care Premiums: Aetna CEO

That's not important. What is really important is people will feel better now that everyone will be covered by health insurance (which really won't happen anyway but many tend to ignore that fact). -
That is where your logic is wrong. The costs of law enforcement would drop if more law abiding citizens, including teachers, had guns and were trained to use them.

I have a placard that I use when I drive my mother around (she doesn't drive...trust me that's a good thing for everyone! ). I keep it in my car but never use it unless she is with me and will be getting out of the car. If she were more stable in her walking (she uses a walker) I'd probably just let her out and then go park in a regular spot but that isn't always an option.
