  1. Well, if I refused, they wouldnt sell it to me. Nothing else ever really works for me in the fall/winter so I have no choice. But, I ALWAYS vote. I send my congressmen messages frequently and I don't sit aside and watch Dancing with the Stars or Jersey Shore clueless about the country's current affairs and the direction it is heading toward loss of privacy, liberty and closer to Socialism.
  2. Well, while we sit and "let" them id us and "think it's making a difference", we are giving up our individual liberty and privacy. I'm not okay with that for ANY reason( drug control, terrorism security, identity theft protection, etc) and I will never be.
  3. TOTALLY agree on welfare drug testing. That would expose and hopefully end a LOT of waste and reserve more assistance for those who really need it. I'd LOVE to meet your feisty little Mom . Good for her for speaking up. She can get away with saying what we want to say . My dad is in his 70's and all my aunts and uncles are older. They are all quick to say that they are not okay with being harrassed and having to give up private info b/c of what criminals are doing. Personal responsiblity. Did it leave with the Clinton days? i think it did.
  4. Do you buy for a second that id'ing you and me is "keeping the methheads in line"? Please say no. Pleeeease say no.
  5. Are you serious??? I just want my sinuses clear not to make meth. Why should I be hassled and lose my privacy b/c of drug makers and addicts? Ugh...ever heard of individual liberty??? How is it my fault or any of my personal responsiblity that OTHER people make drugs, sell drugs, have sex with monkeys, etc. I mean, c'mon. I couldnt give a flip as to what they do in the privacy of their own home no matter how ignorant and self-destructive they may be. Why should I have to be punished or even just hassled b/c of them? Your way of thinking is exactly why we are being stripped of our l
  6. Will do and you really should push the website and shipping. Also, I sent my Dad who lives in New Hope a msg about your store. He is a SERIOUS reader and loves to save $. He will be there soon.
  7. I feel the same way about the dad. They arent married b/c she is still married to her husband who is in the military overseas. I dont care that they arent married but what I do think is interesting is that a couple people that have known her for years say that she is an attention hound and that she is well known for acting out in all sorts of ways to get attention. Including stunts to steal men away from their wives and has a reputation for liking to drink a lot. One of the experts on N Grace last night quoted her statements in bebuttal to the multiple glasses of wine statement. He made the p
  8. Geeeeze. Yeah, him and Joseph. A self-centered murderer with little to no remorse and a boy sold into slavery by his own family( and lived as a slave well into his adult life) who became second in charge of the whole country of Egypt. Yeah, I'm not seeing the comparison either.
  9. This is only a drop in the proverbial bucket in the problems with our country's social programs . For what it's worth, although he doesnt need or deserve a check, I'm glad to know he's at home, safe in his playpen and not in the general population.
  10. Huh? Subby is about one of the least negative people I've ever known. I think he is just agreeing b/c he knows first hand how hard the job market is right now.
  11. So, the governement seizing funds of "certain" individuals is fine by you then? The gov literally seizes our money now for SS and to the IRS. SS should be voluntary and PRIVATIZED. Gov has absolutely ZERO business TAKING money from it's citizens w/o their consent. We have all been so conditioned to deposit our paycheck while barely looking at the amount they TAKE from us. Guarantee you, if Americans had to write a tax check at the end of the year instead of it "magically" missing on every check, everybody would all of the sudden care that they are being stolen from. But, as it is now, you n
  12. I saw her last night(Wed)but missed her tonight. Gonna try and catch the late re-run.
  13. "When deputies moved to silence him, he snickered, "What are you going to do, kill me?" Wow. He said this just after the verdict in front of the Judge and the victims families. Makes you think he STILL doesnt get it.
  14. Bookworm! I just saw your link for the first time, clicked on it and have a few books waiting in my online shopping cart . Do you ship regularly and will you ship to Valdosta? I'd LOVE to buy from you if I can and if it will benefit you. I compared a couple prices with Amazon and you beat them both times. I'm wanting to do my Christmas shopping here.
  15. THAT is one of the BEST replies I have ever read here on Pcom in all my Pcom years. Love it. I'd give you a +, Pubby, but you know... . Bully speaks for herself. Tacky as always.
  16. It's rough out there and this is GREAT advice .
  17. My friend Melissa Krudwig was the realtor that sold that group of huge, newer homes next to it. She knows the history of it and would probably be happy to help you. She's about as down to earth as they come. Tell her Lauralee told you to call her . Or email. She's in the Keller Williams Signature Partners office on Dallas Hwy in front of Target. Melissa Krudwig info
  18. I feel the same way. And, of course, one could say they SHOULD have done this or that. But, that's all after the fact. And the real fact here is that the cop abused his power. The Postman, a member here on Pcom, had cancer a couple yrs ago. He was forced to park very far away and walk into his doctors office everytime he went to be treated or pay high priced parking. I am never for a 'hand out' but c'mon...cases like these should just be answered on good, human nature. REALLY gets under my skin to see good people in pain struggle with unnecessary bs while just trying to live their life and
  19. read this a little earlier tonight and it IS a tear-jerker. They proved that you can love one person forever and I'm sure it wasnt always an easy road. Great story.
  20. LOL! I agree, LPPT. "If both people in a debate agree on everything, one of them is unnecessary."
  21. I feel the same way. But, I have two good friends who are teachers there. It's really mind blowing when they tell me how oppressive and powerful their government it. For not paying any fine, they can and will send a person to jail. Jail there and jail here are totally different. There are basically no rules there and inmates are treated like animals.Their gov is so overpowering and can punish anyone by fine or jail based on absolutely nothing. Plus, their culture is very quiet and non-confrontational. They are taught from birth that it is excessively rude to confront another person. I agr
  22. I feel the same way, LR.I know we yammer on about how bad this country is but I cannot imagine anything like that happening here without a HUGE fallout from millions of people. There, girls and women are treated like trash you'd throw out in a dumpster. This is a very deep, ingrained cultural way of thinking and will take generations to fully change it.
