I've been there a few times and love it as well. Lots of history there, too. I think the Ga coast is hugely underrated and is such a beautiful place.

I do! I always wear shoes...lol. I am a no-barefeet kinda girl. My A/C is working hard but it's working, thank the Lord! We have really been wanting to have the pine trees around the house cut down. They scare me in high winds. Hopefully we can do it this Fall. We have had so many other projects plus a Mimi added to the mix! I LOVE the palm trees and the sego palms here though. Our YMCA even has them around the pools. Makes me feel like I'm on vacation... . They can certainly withstand the wind. By the way, here's the latest pic of the little rolly polly...

You are so right! Did you happen to see the pageant Mom on Dr Drew who dressed her daughter as "Pretty Woman"? Showing her belly, mini skirt and "hooker" boots. She said that MAYBE that wasnt the best idea , but she kept repeating OVER and OVER that "her dance outfits are MUCH more rique'! I dont know why people can't see that." Did I miss something? Is she the parent who pays the dance studio??? If she thinks they are "risque'" what is she doing dressing her daughter in them? When I was carrying Mimi into the gym today, it almost blew us away! It was hilarious though(speaking of my hair)...with my hands full there was nothing I could do. So, when I put her down and looked in a mirror, I looked like a hurricane of red hair. We got a pretty hard rain today and it has looked ominous overall all day. I just watched a 20/20 episode about a family who were accused of this wrongly. So sad. The parents BOTH went to jail, kids taken away(God help!). The Father in solitary confinement. Investigators found NOTHING! THERE IS NOTHING! These are GOOD people who spent thousands to try to help their special needs daughter. The "therapy" they chose for her(after MANY others), only turned against them. I know ppl who have had this happen to them firsthand. God help. Our government is a disgusting joke. Sick.

If left to my own devices, I would be the same way. But, my best friends Mother was so overly obsessive about her house being clean that we were afraid of her. My Mother was much nicer about it and didnt grow horns when we had a spill, etc. although she kept a very clean house. I dont want my famly to be afraid of me!

My good friends are Travis cousins(Jimmy and his wife, Susan). Jimmy grew up on Post Oak Tritt with the rest of the Tritt clan. When I was 19 and left home years ago, I realized that all those years of Mom saying that if you want a clean, organized home, it is an everyday effort. I also realized I was clueless about it. I remember thinking that she COULD veg out on the sofa and watch tv for a few hours a day, if she really wanted to . I was wrong ! So, I dug in and read, talked to friends who were fantastic homemakers, asked my Mother for advice and really learned how to do it. I'm one notch less than neurotic about it. I do love me some Patty Loveless! Some of my oldest and dearest friends are the Tritt Family. The "originals" live in East Cobb...Post Oak Tritt and all that. Travis' cousin, Jimmy and wife are some of the most precious people in my life. I have cooked more than a few dinners for the entire clan. VERY down to earth people who make you feel like YOU are the most interesting one in the crowd....

Yes, it does! My Mother always warned me that she never had to worry about it til after she had me(2nd baby)and hit 40. As usual, happened to me just the same. I remember trying to gain weight for years and years.

Not really but I know what youre saying. I gained more than I ever thought I would. I still cant believe the extra pounds on me. I have never had to worry about it. It is not easy nor fun.
