  1. It long but very much worth the read http://www.continuumofthinking.com/?p=190
  2. After reading the thread "A Voice of Reason" the linked article mentioned was so ridiculous and riddled with false statements. It referenced a recent CBO study that said: A recent report from the Congressional Budget Office (CB0) says, "The share of income received by the top 1% grew from about 8% in 1979 to over 17% in 2007." The CBO only answers on questions that they are directly asked. They do not offer anything above and beyond that. Heres what wasnt mentioned. Via CATO institute. But here's a question: Why did the report stop at 2007? The CBO didn't say, although its report bri
  3. Its that half glass analogy. Some see it half full. Some see it half empty. Another analogy would be: You steadily lost clients for months 24+months Last month you lost two more...but gained one So technically it is better then it was before. As long as that one client stays.
  4. Absolutely 100% Absolutely 100% Absolutely 100% Absolutely 100% Cant blame you for trying. Its just a point about the fuzzy math used by the BLS Its nothing against you. Please don't take it personal. Cheers!
  5. I wouldnt get all giddy over this. BLS math is always suspect. From same article: So only in Washington do they fluff this devious math equation. 140,000 people found jobs and 315,000 people simply gave up looking. And this is good how????
  6. Maybe the crowd was offended that her and Bidens wife were there "to promote their Joining Forces project on behalf of military families." Which is nothing but a blatant ploy during an election period. Why are they now suddenly concerned for veterans? If they were so concerned why wasn't this a priority during the 2008 election and after? Its disgusting that they use our veterans for blatant political purposes. Where was such concern back in April...? Flashback: Obama: I'll Shut Down the Government and Suspend Military Pay Military pay hangs in the balance in government
  7. Maybe these words came back to haunt the first family perhaps? Obama on small-town Pa.: Clinging to religion, guns, xenophobia

  13. Welcome back. Did you succeed levitating that building with a pie chart at OWS Atlanta?
  14. Does that mean our resident Tourette pie chart poster Postman is coming back? Or is he stuck down there figuring how to levitate that building?
  15. At the top it says: Driver_IRQL_not_less_or_equal Thats a driver related problem or conflict. If you google that and the laptop model you may find others that had the same issues. try this perhaps: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_7-system/driver-irql-not-less-or-equal-0x000000d1/3109e65a-38eb-47b5-8227-80b0db5d7025
  16. Thanks! But I think you know this already as determined by your forum sig.
  17. That's a good dream! I know times are tough for a lot of people and it's hard for some to keep their chin up. But you just have to keep plugging away to get thru it all. My grandparents had their farm wiped off the map from a tornado. All their equipment, animals, house and possessions where gone. They had very little money in the bank, but they rebuilt. And started again. And got wiped out again from a flood 6 years later. They started over again (on higher ground) but they never felt defeated. Hows that saying go: "Never let your life experiences make you a bitter person". Life is f
  18. Exactly! Go off the radar immediately.
  19. Owning a home and having a job is not the American Dream. You can do that in any country. The American dream IMO is to take the opportunities given to you and to fulfill them despite the odds. People came here with nothing and made something of themselves and reaped great rewards. Thats the American Dream. Sure some have failed. Some succeed. The American Dream was never guaranteed. Life will still intercede and derail you when given the chance. Abe Lincoln had a whole string of failures and obstacles before he became president.
  20. Who is OWS? A bunch of these: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oSo-MEiMbac
  21. How woefully ignorant of the facts. Its been happening for years. In the court system And In NYC In the Air In the Schools
  22. If they were going to tell the story then they should have told it completely. Like how can't leave the house without a male "chaperon," can't drive, can't work, can't leave the country, can't be in the same room with unrelated men, can be beaten and raped with 1/2 the legal recourse granted to their male counterparts. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wfPSN_92v2w
