  1. Thanks for the tips. Not sure about using a gun to fend off the squirrels. All i have is a Makarov .380 and would wind up putting more holes in lawn! Im just thankful that the straw I laid down kept the new soil/seed in place after last nights downpour. There's a few areas that got slightly washed out but underneath I saw the new seed took root and didn't get washed away.
  2. Points are noted on your driving record for infractions. They also can get reported to your insurance company resulting in an increase in premiums as you are then considered an at risk driver. Most states have some kind of points reduction program via live class or via internet. In GA it appears its live class only. Heres what i found that relates to GA points reduction program. http://www.dds.ga.go...749471757&ty=dl
  3. Really? Well I was ticketed for going 60 in a 45 which is 15 over, so maybe I can get lucky then! Thanks for the info! Sounds encouraging! I had to wait 10 days to call to find out what the fine will be which will be tomorrow.
  4. Im a criminal. I was speeding, going 60 on a 45 stretch on Ernest Barrett pky in Powder Springs. My first moving violation in GA! Yayyy, (not) Will find out next week what the $$$ will be. I also see they have a points reduction program that im looking into. In California you could tak it online but it looks like here you have to be in a class for 6 hours or something. Anyone have any experience good or bad about such programs?
  5. How does one keep squirrels from tearing up ones lawn? They are attacking my newly rejuvenated lawn and its looking like a small bombing raid has happen! Holes everywhere! We have two cats that try to keep them away but those little furry rats are persistent! Any advice?
  6. Household bleach is 5% sodium hypochlorite. Mix it with ammonia and mono- and di-chloramines are formed. These nasty fellows will cause lovely symptoms such as respiratory tract irritation, tearing, and nausea. To make things better, add water to get hydrochloric acid and nascent oxygen- also known as chlorine gas, the chemical weapon of choice of Nazi Germany in World War II- for the added bonus of drowning in your own fluids!
  7. Wife is a Delta FA, she was commuting from LAX to ATL for a while but that got old. I mostly work from home so im not tied to any one location and we have no kids. Things came together and we decided to make a move. Much cheaper to live here thats for sure.
  8. A recent transplant from southern California and wound up in Paulding county. It is a bit different from living at the beach, but I have to say people are extremely pleasant and courteous here. Thought I just pop in and say hi to everyone.
  9. Best we found so far is Golds Gym, there's 2 in Douglassville and one near Powder Springs off East West connector.
