  1. I once saw someone propose at the Dallas Wal-Mart right in front of the registers. I assume the colors of the wedding were going to be camo!
  2. Prayers for you and your family. I know the waiting and the wondering is the worse part. I hope you get some good news soon.
  3. Praying right now for you and your family!
  4. So sad it wasn't our Bob cat. The only way I can talk Jared in to getting another cat is if it truly IS Bob. See, we adopted another cat after he went missing and our limit is 1 cat so that is the ONLY way I could convince him of another cat. However, we had been looking for quite some time for a small dog for the family. Yesterday, we were able to adopt a real sweetie pie from Jennifer's Pet Rescue. He is a Chihuahua/Terrier mix and he seems to do great with the kids. Thanks for the well wishes and I sure do hope that Milo finds a home very soon. ~Jennifer
  5. My cat went missing in November of 2010 and looks just like this. Hoping this is my "Bob" cat. Can't wait to visit the shelter today and hopefully bring my baby home. Of course this is the wife talking! Jared probably could care less about the cat but I miss him!
  6. I have a daughter named Haley too and we were at CHOA in February for a leukemia scare. Thank God it wasn't leukemia but I pray for all the kids at CHOA on a regular basis. I will add your Haley to my list. God bless you and your family!
  7. Just to be clear, I have no questions on whether or not he will be repeating pre-k. I have already made up my mind that he will be either repeating the state pre-k, or at home with us doing a home pre-k program. He will NOT be going to kindergarten this fall. The pre-k director told me that sometimes the state will approve a repeat on the pre-k program. My question is if anyone has ever tried to get the state to pay for it and if it was approved. My other question is if you would remain at the same facility or find a different one. Thanks for all of the advice so far!
  8. My son is only 4 years old. He is the youngest child in his pre-k center with a late July b-day. He is just not mature enough. It's obvious that he is NOT ready for Kindergarten and won't be anytime soon, which doesn't surprise me or the teachers. They are talking about having him repeat Pre-K next year. Has anyone ever done this? Does the state normally approve it (he attends the lotter funded one)? Would you switch schools or stay with the same one? Any advice?
  9. I'm voting for a Chick-fil-A closer than Hiram... or a Martin's would be OK too.
  10. http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/top-stories/2011/03/18/brave-fukushima-staff-on-suicide-mission-to-save-japan-from-nuclear-disaster-115875-22997376/ This is a sad story. These guys are dads, sons, uncles, friends, cousins, and most of all heroes. We should all pray for their safety (as miracles do happen) and that their efforts will pay off and they will not die in vain. On another note, they have not had many problems with looting from what I have heard after the devastating earthquake. Why is that? Because they teach honor and respect in their culture. We oughtta try it here at hom
  11. My wife loves her Hoover Windtunnel. It is so powerful that it sucked a hole in the seat of the car when we left it sitting there while we used the tools. We used to have a Bissell and it was so cheap and barely picked anything up.
  12. That's hilarious. The song, the dog's face, the other dog... thanks for the laugh!
  13. Yeah, kids are a lot to handle and everyone has a bad day. As for me, I know I wouldn't be able to handle it. But, let me say, that if this was one of my kids I would not be understanding at all. If you are getting to a point of frustration then just quit. Something this bad probably was building up over time. Kind of scary that she was transporting a bus load of kids and could have caused an accident if she was that unstable. Oh, and if she would have laid a hand on either of my kids, I am SURE that my wife would freak the heck out on that lady. She probably would have been on the
  14. Thanks for the recommendation. I appreciate your business!
  15. Last month they thought my 1 year old little girl had leukemia. Thank God she did not, but there is not a day that passes by that I don't Thank God, and when I say that I mean with tears in my eyes and sincerely thanking God, for letting my little girl be OK. I know it could all change tomorrow but I am so thankful that at least for now we don't have to walk down that road. Thanks for the reminder to love up on our kids. They won't be little forever.
  16. I got an email last week from someone on here asking if I could talk to them about getting grass to grow. Somehow the email is nowhere to be found so I'm wondering if this person could email me again... I believe her name was Heidi... that is about all I can remember from the email as far as contact info. If you are this person please email me again as I would be very happy to meet with you. Thanks!

  18. My son LOVES his bumblebee and takes it with him to Pre-K to sleep with. I was thinking about getting him the puppy one too
  19. Moles are hard to get rid of. You can try a couple of things. You can try to trap the moles with traps that you buy at your local hardware store. Use chewing gum as the bait because they eat it and cannot digest it. Or you can try the chewing gum without the traps. Just chew up a piece of gum and put it down in their tunnel/ repeat several areas and times. The only problem is that they can live in groups so even if you kill one you may still have several more to get rid of... and the tunnels are often inviting to other moles in the area so it may be an ongoing battle that you cannot give
  20. Wow, that was devastating to look at... the pics are proof of what goes on. Makes me think twice about going to the circus. And we were considering it...
