  1. Lol, I should probably clarify. I didn't mean I find it annoying when my children called me that or another mother's children referring to them in that manner. It drives me crazy when women refer to themselves that way. I know, makes no sense . My youngest is my son, and he will be 24 in a few months. He usually just calls me "Mom". I admit that I melt a little when he calls me "Mama" instead, on occasion. My heart says..."awwwww".
  2. I totally use it here, and on FB...but not because it's cute. It just sounds more familiar than 'husband'. Besides there are waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more annoying words than 'Hubby' like: Mommy (I realize I'm in the minority, but that drives me insane). Libtard Teabagger All of the different plays on the name of President Obama and Romney during the campaign season. Yep, way more annoying.
  3. What Jenilyn said, I could not express it any better.
  4. Much love from here as well...coupled with healing thoughts and well wishes.
  5. I'm pretty sure I will be scheduled for Thanksgiving Eve. I'm at the Best Buy in Kennesaw. It's really not bad to be working it, time goes by REALLY fast and for the most part everyone is pleasant. I just can't imagine being in the mess if I didn't have to be. I've never shopped a Black Friday, but my best friend in the whole world never misses one, lol. I hope your husband is able to have a day off soon...I can't imagine how tired he must be.
  6. You wouldn't catch me out anywhere on Black Friday~unless I was having to work it. ...And I am .
  7. See. this is what I told her...she never listens to me .
  8. I want a tattooed, non religious president. Think it's gonna happen?
  9. I'm sorry for the loss of your sister in law, cancer is a bitch... . I would move back to Germany in a heartbeat if given the chance, would prefer Great Britain, again in a heartbeat. I'm not a Christian, so that isn't an issue for me. I do know in Germany you pay taxes to either the catholic or protestant denomination your entire life whether you attend or not. They have HUGE statues set up in each village, that kind of hint at whether this is a catholic or protestant dominated village~the statues are creepy as hell in some cases . Crime is all over, and quite honestly I felt more com
  10. Yes. I lived in Germany for four years. It was cleaner there than here, at least in the places more populated by Germans. Workers seemed to be happier. Businesses weren't open 24 hours a day, life had a slower more relaxed pace. I don't know many nationals who complained about their healthcare. Don't know if that really answers your question, but it was a little slice of heaven for us. Has the OP lived in Europe?
  11. Britaini and I voted early, and it was 2 hours from start to finish~pretty much 2 hours on the dot. We voted on Whitlock Avenue, and it was the day after the last debate, I'm thinking that may have increased our wait time .
  12. Legalize, legalize, legalize. Recreational use of marijuana is not going to make you 'lazy' unless you were already 'lazy' in the first place. It won't ruin your liver like alcohol. It does not make you mean, like alcohol. All things in moderation.
  13. As a child we only ever did 'real' Christmas trees. I've never had a fake one. That being said, I HATE decorating a tree, I even hated it as a child. Bad memories, parents fussing and everyone ill tempered. My younger sister doesn't remember it that way, she always goes all out. As an adult I've only bought and decorated one? (I think) Pretty to look at in other people's houses...just a big hassle in mine. I know. I'm a scrooge. I don't decorate for any feast or holiday, unless you count the fact that my house looks like Halloween all year long . I'm not kidding. Hallow
  14. You are ahead of me, I had never heard of it until 2 years ago...and I even worked at Borders 5-7 years ago. I guess not having any small children could have something to do with it .
  15. It must be 'Awesome'. I use it so often that Rod (he worked for us at the bookstore) once told me that he checked the thesaurus so he could offer me an alternative that he thought would suit my vocabulary. He couldn't. My response? Awesome. lol Dr. Who..................
  16. I agree. In 15 years together I can count on one hand the times I have been into his wallet, and that was only because he asked me to get something. I think he may have reached into my purse twice, same scenario. I have never checked an email. I have never checked his phone. I think if someone feels this is necessary, you already have problems. Like I said, been there...done that. There's a reason I say Ray is my favorite of all of my husbands, He's my third, and last. It does take me a little while to figure these things out, clearly .

No, I have been 100% in agreement with you. I just hate it when the threads turn into mudslinging and such . I'm also as liberal as can be. In the Libertarian sense. Not the silly one.

Can't we all just hug it out?
  19. Nope, and agree with TJB. If you need to snoop, it's time to cut them loose. Been there done that twice.
