  1. There was a time when employers had to make do with whoever they could get to apply. Now there is no excuse for hiring or keeping an under-performer. And now is also the time to make darn sure that you aren't an under-performer.
  2. Sure would love to see everyone who can make it tomorrow, make it. Paulding has a high number to reach. We've never reached a number this high before but I know we can do it.
  3. No but an employee's religion getting in the way of them properly performing their duties certainly is.
  4. As long as you are healthy (diabetes is under control) you can technically give blood. If you want to ask some questions before booking your appointment, call Janet at 678-951-3531 ... she can answer your questions and set your appointment.
  5. A couple of times this year we've had 30+ of them hanging around in the trees near the house. Never did find/smell what they were after.
  6. But golly gee, they're just kids having fun. Nevermind that it's a federal crime. I will never understand how or why anyone thinks it is fun to do damage to another's property.
  7. We have both the black vulture and the turkey vulture in Georgia. Black Vulture Turkey Vulture
  8. Really sad attempt, to be sure. They could have just run the ads they already have out and would have been able to defend the cost by claiming the exposure numbers. That commercial they created and ran was just sad.

  10. Since we're supposed to limit the copying of copyrighted text, I felt that the link did a good enough job of providing the rest of the details.
  11. A Muslim bus driver stunned passengers when he pulled over and started praying in the aisle - with the engine still running. The driver parked without warning then rolled out a fluorescent jacket as an improvised prayer mat. He took off his shoes, knelt down facing Mecca, and began to chant. The prayer session held up the bus for more than five minutes with no-one able to get on or off... link to full article
  12. I look at it as a way to learn more to help protect my kids. It would be perfectly ok with me if they all fell on the third rail after they finished taping.
  13. We invite all who can attend: The event will be held on Wednesday, February 24th, 2010 4:00 p.m. The Citizen's Hall, Douglas County Courthouse 8700 Hospital Drive, Douglasville, Georgia 30134
  14. Giving this one a little bump ... and reminding you all.
  15. That's going to be my problem ... I don't watch her show normally so I'm going to have a hard time remembering to do so today.
  16. I hope so too but that wasn't made known during the ad.
  17. As a scout mom, I'd like to say THANK YOU!
  18. Today's show has her interviewing 4 child molesters. Supposedly they will talk about how they get kids to trust them ... how they get them to keep quiet ... everything. I don't watch her show but I just saw the ad and thought I'd share. I will be watching today.
  19. Have them load the shots on a computer for viewing. I understand wanting them right ... just trying to help you see less expensive alternatives.
  20. You wouldn't have to use a "professional" to get good shots. Find someone who has a good eye and a digital camera. Then you can see the shots before the session is over and decide if you need more shots or not. It will certainly be much less expensive and you'll still end up with a solid product in the end.
  21. Don't need snopes ... it's all over the web. And the folks at YellowTail have apparently caught enough grief over it all that they have altered their arrangement with HSUS. The $100,000 they are donating from this program is now to be earmarked for the animal rescue activities of HSUS instead of their general funds to be used at their discretion. And here's a breakdown of HSUS funds:
  22. 20+ inches of heavy, wet snow is going to make a whole lot of people really miserable. Power lines are being taken out by bending/falling trees. It's going to get even colder after the snow stops so everything will freeze solid. It's going to be unpleasant for a while.
