  1. Same for school books. I think the form for school use is a little different.....but an excellent resource. I have used them before!
  2. This explains my whole day. Teachers know lunar phases without ever looking to the sky.
  3. At my friends funeral, everyone had a story to tell. We made jokes like we were sitting in the living room poking fun at each other like we had for almost 20 years. ....And I realized that most people would tell about me would involve me working too hard, coveting too much, and my extremely shielded heart.
  4. Someone that was very near and dear to me died tragically very recently. As a result, I've been on a journey of sorts.....this thread((minus raving lunatics) hit right where it needed to hit. I thought that all of my travels were where I found my happiness, but it turns out that the people I travel with is where the satisfaction and contentment. comes from. Love, folks. Love.
  5. I thought it was a stripper.
  6. I thought they had a break in October?
  7. Surely she didn't know what was going to happen? Maybe she was imitating something she saw on TV? I hope this was a tragic accident and not suicide.
  8. One of my teachers pulled the "blame IT" card when she wasn't doing what her supervisor (me) was emailing her to do.....I got on the phone with IT and nada....there was never a problem, teacher just didn't follow the set up procedures.
  9. At any other middle school, I would agree.....but something strange is up at this particular school.
  10. This is the child's first year t the school. Middle school procedures are WAY different than elem school. It is not uncommon for 6th graders to need a little until they get the hang of certain procedures. I think they're at Moses, which is on some sort of whack-a-doodle schedule.
  11. Next time a bug gets in the house, step on it. :I just cracked myself up:
  12. I'm not familiar with the pre-k process, but best of luck. It's an area that I hope to learn more about.
  13. I report TP every time he tries to divert a thread with his political jackassery. I accept it is a waste of my time....kind of like a customer service survey.....but I do it anyway. Sooner or later someone will get annoyed and take action.
  14. ADA is an EXTREMELY important piece of legislation. Here's to hoping you never have to familiarize yourself with it.
  15. A friend of mine was killed the other week when someone turned left in front of his motorcycle.... Folks need to look.....and then look again.
  16. Sight is a very important sense to have when it comes to personal safety. I cant imagine how vulnerable they must feel. I would imagine that with the appropriate training, visually impaired folks can and should safely own a weapon. Hell, if some of the dumbasses i know can own 'em.... From which angle? Denying the permit based on physical disability is illegal....ADA says so.
  17. I am envious of people who aren't afraid to be whoever they want to be..... I'm too afraid to buck society's norms.....and the Baptists.
  18. There is/used to be a film store at The Avenues. They turn 8mm into DVDs, so surely they do film. It was in the center hub of buildings, not the main part.
  19. You're going to need to find a catchy image to go with it.
  20. It's an excellent default post....for when you want to say something even when you don't have anything to say.
