  3. I'm watching a recorded show in the living room when I really want ot be laying in my bed watching it. Today, I hate you
  4. Crap. Now I want to watch Pearl Harbor. I love me some Josh Hartnett.
  5. How old is your son? Is he young and just starting out? Is he older and well established?
  6. How would you feel if you watched the movie and saw your kid's teacher nude in the background?
  7. I don't know why people buy food from these places. I feel the same way about Big Lots. I stick to grocery stores for food. Lots of product rotation.
  8. I guess so. I thought it was going to be something dumb...like building nothing into something before an election. Wow.
  9. Nothing is more frustrating than trying to raise funds for kids extracurriculars. I think I had 5 out of 20 participate + a contribution and discounted shirts. I was the top seller. All of that work last year and we raised $250 Funny that the kids that didn't sell are the one who keep asking when we're going to start our club this year!!
  10. I love that place....much easier than trying to fit my schedule and a dr's schedule at the last minute! Also, I use Dr. Sisk near the Avenues. He's awesome. He's my 3rd ped and is very good....and his nurses are awesome!
  11. this thread have been EVERYWHERE! It's current location is Hell, I think.
  12. As a native of New Orleans, I won't watch anything about Katrina. I am disgusted when I see people who are helpless because they WON'T do for themselves. Of course, there is a long list of people who piss me off. This isn't anywhere near the top
  13. Maybe they forgot their "I believe in God" sash at home?
  14. Last time I was in HD I saw laminates for $0.69/sqft. That's cheap. I'm sure they can run much more expensive. Laminates or real wood mostly comes down to personal preferences. All things being equal, I prefer real wood. I'm snoody like that.
  15. It depends on if you equate the word "cheap" with price or quality.
  16. It was a close-out...normally real bamboo isn't the cheaper alternative. I believe the flooring I got was normally over $3/sqft. Given the choice, I would go with real floors rather than laminates, but I have nothing except personal preference to base that on. Unless this guy/gal is willing to shop around at liquidation stores and clearance centers, he's better off price-wise to go with laminates.
  17. I'm glad to hear that!! Good luck and make sure you wear matching socks!
  18. Last statistic I saw (which is about 4-5 years old) says that only 4% of the population of the US is homosexual. Institutions of faith should not pick and choose which sins they want to teach about/against. Should they skip over the parts of the Bible that they don't personally agree with? I think at HOME, parents can tell their children differently, but the institution should stick to the information presented in their religious texts. No, but we're fat, sloppy, and lazy, with an concerning sense of entitlement and, for the most part, are willing to throw away someone else'
  19. At the church that I attend, the teens all sit together on the far section....keeps them away from me
  20. Posting on pcom on your wedding night? Congrats!
  21. I'm tearing out carpet in the living spaces to put hardwoods. I got a great deal at Lumber Liquidators. You have to watch for closeouts. I got beautiful bamboo flooring for less than $1/sqft. I'm leaving carpet in the bedrooms for now. If you want to go cheap, there are laminates that look like the real thing.
  22. Tipping is out of control. I'm going to put a sign on my classroom door during conference week.
  23. A bunch of womens from the church are going and we got a block of hotel rooms. We'll exchange info when it get closer to time. Anything you tell me now will be forgotten by then!
