I take I-20 west then turn around and come home. Long enough for loud tunes and wind-tangled hair. Not much traffic heading west from here -
I had to google everything but the silly bandz. I remember friendship bracelets being a big fad.

If you gave the school reports, document your timeline. Off the tip of my exhausted brain I don't remember the exact numbers, but there are time limits. I've seen them slip by unnoticed....

As important as your questions: how do we teach our children compassion? -

I think we react to tragedies that have a personal connection of some sort. It's not often that suicide bombers reported on TV get to me, until I hear the victim is from GA, has the same name as an x who is overseas, etc. -
And that is why special education exists. I taught "regular" ed for a few years before teaching special education and have really found my heart in the department. I would do just about anything if it meant helping *my* kids overcome their disabilities. I've even written and receieved several grants for my students with disabilities to have materials I thought would be benifital, but hte school simply doesn't have the funding for.

I send prayers regularly when I hear about tragedy or misfortune, but you'll rarely see me post it. I don't think that I need to. God knows. Nobody deserves to have bad things happen to them, regardless of their past. Karma is a bitch, but I don't believe that she really exists. -

Fun sponge -
The above two posts are why parents have the right to seek outside testing for special ed services. I've never had a student with Tourettes and would have to do some mega research if I ever have one. You should also know that the role of the school through special education is to ensure that the child has equal access to the curriculum. Issues that don't impact learning aren't the school's responsibility (not directed at yall, but you would be suprised at what we're asked to do.)

I'm just pointing out where you bashed private schools. People's educational decisions for their children are personal. Public, private, or in-home--people have reasons for subjecting their kids to different educational settings. -

I'm sending my kid to private school in a few years when it's time for K. It has nothing to do with anything except the religious aspect of the private school. I'll even have to change jobs due to the location and the direction I'll have to drive to get her there. I don't have any problem with public schools and even teach in one Reasons, reasons.... -

For the sake of getting the last word, I suppose.
