  17. When my daughter was born I couldn't keep up with my utilities and I was able to get help from Hope Church. At the time they had a programs called "Hands of Hope" (I think). Either way, they filled in the gap and the next month I did some creative budgeting and got back on my feet. These places aren't designed as a hand up, not a handout....but I'll save my lecture. My point is we all fall on hard times and it takes some serious lifestyle choices in order to make it work. That $65 was a huge help and I'm glad the resource was available.
