  1. I have thought about this since Wednesday but did not have the time to post. I had the pleasure of meeting a Pcommer, my first, JMT on Wednesday. I ordered some apple butter and a chocolate pecan pie. He delived it to me at work. It's nice to put a face with a name. There are so many more of you that I would like to meet but I'm always working when you get together for lunch. A huge thank you to Joe and his wonderful wife for making our Thanksgiving a bit more special than usual!!

  5. As for my mother's family a cousin researched it and found out alot of information, I'm not sure about any Mayflower desendant's. My father's family tree goes back much futher, still unsure about the Mayflower. This is a great thread, I've always wanted to research my mother's family but just have not found the time to do so.

  9. This speaks volumes about what kind of person you are...thinking of others who have families to spend holidays with. I felt the same way about the holidays almost 36 years ago, my mother died on New Years Eve. I hope that eventually you will get to the point that holidays are special again. Dogs are a God send when you need a best friend!!
  10. I agree with what sadie612 said 100%!!
  11. I'm not trying to be rude so please don't take this the wrong way. Would your mother want you to not celebrate the holidays? You have to make the decision that is right for you. I'll be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

  14. God Bless each and everyone of you that have lost a parent, brother, sister, close friend. You will never forget them but time does ease the pain. There's not a single day that goes by that I don't think about each of my partents for one reason or another and I still miss them. My daddy has been gone 42 years and momma 36 years next month. I admire each and everyone one of you who can realize that the loved one that you lost would not want you to grieve on holidays. I was so young that I didn't understand, I wasn't out of high school, didn't have children so I thought that if I loved th

  20. Good Morning all Pcommers, I know that we all have faced some very tough times in the last year. Some more than others, however, if you look around you can always find someone in worse shape than you. That being said, I wish all of you the best, I hope that you all get to spend time with your loved ones, if you do, please let them know just how much they are loved for tomorrow may never come. For those of you who have just lost loved ones, I pray that God will wrap is loving arms around you and carry you through these rough times. Just remember that he will never leave you or turn his back
  21. Prayers sent! My thought and prayers will be with you during this painful event in your life, I've been through it with both parents. Godd Bless you and yours.
  22. i've never tried the Jenny-O turkeys. If you do end up buying a turkey, a 10-12 lb. turkey should be enough to feed the four of you, you will have to clean out the insides. They come wrapped in a paper bag, except for the neck, you will need to pull it out. I've always slow cooked mine, I always use a roasting bag. I normally put in the oven on the lowest setting and let it cook overnight. If you don't want to do that you cook it I believe 20-25 minutes per pound. I'm sure that you will have no problems, it's very simple...just scary the 1st time. Good Luck!!
  23. I would like to order two of the GA snuggies, if possible. What information do you need from me, just let me know. TIA,
