  1. My crusts HAVE to match, too! I can NOT eat a sandwich any one else has made me b/c they just don't do it right. I can't even watch my husband eat a sandwich that he has made b/c his crusts aren't right. And I hate it when he calls it a saMwich
  2. I count my stairs....every time I go up & every time I go down. I have counted them like 11 million times and couldn't tell you how many stairs I have
  3. That stinks that he will eventually need a transplant. I have always heard it is worse on the donor than the recipient, I am sure you know first hand. I know you have been thru it all and can walk thru it with him. My prayers will be with you all.
  4. I have been to Kennestone & Paulding ER's. Last summer Ansley busted her head open and Paulding was obviously closest (we are like 3 miles away from it) and due to it being a head injury they took her right back. She had to get staples...I have never been to Tanner.
  5. Sorry to hear about your son's diagnosis. Do they think he will also need a transplant at some point? I had a great experience with Paulding Hospital on Friday. My GI doc sent me to have my gall bladder removed and he recommended a surgeon that operates at Paulding. The entire staff was incredible! I said to one of them that I did not understand why they had such a bad reputation...I received great care from the time I walked in the door to the time they wheeled me to my car!!
  6. www.choa.org said that their immediate care locations are open most holidays. Kennesaw is the closest one. Good luck and I hope your son feels better! http://www.choa.org/default.aspx?id=5249
  7. I just speak from experience! The ER or CHOA could at least get x-rays and keep him immobilized if neccessary.
  8. Swelling is a sign of a fracture (I was told this when my DD fell off a counter and fractured her wrist in June). I would take him to the ER or to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Urgent Care (the copay will be that of a regular office visit instead of an ER copay). A $25-50 copay is good piece of mind to know he is ok. Besides, if his regular dr sees him, they may just refer to an orthopaedist which could prolong his care.
  9. Yep, we go to West Ridge! Hoping to be there tomorrow! EWWW!! NO! Thanks! I am trying to rest, I just can't sit still Thank you, zoo! Are you in labor yet?!
  10. I have had 4 c-sections so I think that is why this has been so easy!!
  11. I think that as long as you go into it with a good attitude, you will be FINE!! Who is doing your surgery?
  12. I don't even feel like I have had surgery Yesterday & last night I had air trapped in my chest, back & shoulders but it broke up. I wanted to go to my journey group meeting last night but my mom was here and she and my husband said I was not allowed to go anywhere! My belly button hurts a little but I feel great!! I was cleaning the kitchen this morning and my hubby made me sit down. I guess after having 4 c-sections this was nothing!
  13. Congrats, Zoo!! I can't wait to hear that Thomas has arrived! I hope you have a speedy labor & delivery!
  14. Honeymoon has THE BEST carrot cake I have ever had!!!
  15. But, the rules are different within the Dallas City limits...hopefully now that the Marshall's office has taken over, the City of Dallas will have the same rules as the county. ::crossingfingersthattheychangetherules::
  16. I would talk to the neighbors and if that doesn't work, file a noise complaint with animal control. The dogs may get to know you but they will still bark at other things & other people. I hate despise it when people let their dogs bark and don't shut them up! You should not have to lose YOUR sanctuary b/c of those dogs and their inconsiderate people. Take charge and contact you HOA if you have one. Good luck!!
  17. My husband used outdoor clorox (diluted per instructions on bottle) and used a pump sprayer to spray it on the house, then he used the pressure washer. His landscaping is his "labor of love" and it didn't harm any of his plants, everything still looks great!! ETA: this was on vinyl siding
  18. My oldest daughter had her tonsils & adenoids removed 2.5 years ago. She had to have her adenoids removed because they were enlarged but she did get strep several times a year, too. At first the insurance only approved the adenoid removal since she didn't have strep "often enough". I think I counted 7 strep cases in a year and re-submitted the pre-op. The ins company approved it after I mailed them a copy of her records with all of the strep cases highlighted. She still gets a sore throat from time to time b/c she still has a lot of sinus drainage & allergy issues. She has not had
  19. Do you have the 0bama Chia Pet, too?!
  20. Have you ever watched Toddlers & Tiaras? Do you really want that for your daughter? Let her be a baby, enjoy her. Let her try what interests her when she is old enough. My 2 oldest girls chose dance when they were 3, one stuck with it for 5yrs and made a competition team but chose to take a year off due to an injury (and being burnt out!). Second oldest has tried dance, gymnastics and will start soccer next week. She has to find her "thing". I can't imagine throwing my kids into anything they didn't chose to do. Jm2c
  21. I ate deli meat with all 4 of my pregancies. They recommend that if you eat it, you should heat it up first to kill any possible listeria on it. I always melted cheese on it or put it in a grilled cheese sandwich. I loved pregnancy cravings b/c I could eat whatever "the baby" wanted!!!
  22. I am actually not watching it right now. I am DVRing it to watch later. Kiddos have Nick Jr on...(and I should be folding laundry)
  23. Kelly Ripa looks like skin & bones on tv (of course, very fit) but can you imagine how scrawny she looks in person?!
  24. You are SOOOO right!! LOL, you probably said that to me last year when I joined! Sorry I stole your line
  25. It probably is sold out, I just felt bad that no one else on here was going! I would love to go, but probably couldn't swing it on short notice with hubby working & 4 kiddos. I hope you have a great time!! I am sure it will be a fabulous weekend!
