Vent, Rant, Soapbox...
Construction Teacher replied to Construction Teacher's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Just wanted to get a little off my chest with that with the uncostumed teens and a couple of inconsiderate drivers. Overall we had a good time last night and capped it off with a stop for waffles at fine local establishment. -

First of all let me thank all of the residents and businesses of Dallas who were out helping to ensure the children had an enjoyable Halloween. The house displays and costumes were great. Once again thank you. If you are old enough to drive yourself out to go Trick or Treating you should be staying home and actually GIVING BACK instead of grubbing and mooching from others. For pete's sake at least put a mask on before you start out on your quest. The dollar stores sell candy and it requires a lot less effort. You are the reason many people who used to enjoy handing out candy and checking o

Just got in from all the festivities. I took the kids up and down Confederate Ave. If anyone remembered seeing a red-faced devil and a cold, wet Supergirl being pulled by her slave (a.k.a. Me, LOL)thank you for being out there for everyone. Wet and cold but the kids had fun. Too bad no one was handing out cold medicine! LOL. Topped off with waffles and coffee at the WH.

Looks like the greatest chance of rain in the area is 5:15-6:30. There is a 45% chance we will not get rained on during that time.

How do you get to the new courthouse?
Construction Teacher replied to AnitaMassage's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Keep going past QT and Kroger for awhile like MillCreek said. Tell him to not forget his emissions test. They have a station next to the courthouse at the east end. -

Not a child. It is a great cause, but I believe there are better ways for children to show support. Keep in mind I teach teenagers. They don't need additional reasons to act up. I myself however, would wear one, just not in school. -
Good point....LOL

Haven't seen a good rough-n-tumble in a while. I'm game.

I usually take my kids out a bit earlier. Due to my daughter's tolerance level she doesn't do well later on. My experience has also been that the little ones have a better time earlier in the evening. The later it gets it seems the older, bigger, uncostumed, candy-grubbin' critters come out and make it a bit more difficult for the little ones to have fun.

LPPT....will you be selling tickets for this?!?!??!

I ain't the smartest fella in the world but I do know how fortunate I am. I was born in the dark, but it wasn't last night! A tip o' the hat to all of ya'll!

Construction Teacher replied to lowrider's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I took the twins to get pumpkins yesterday. We got 3 pumpkins at a very good price. Also got a bag of boiled peanuts. Peanuts were great. I put one on top of my head and my tongue just about beat my face to death tryin' to get to it!
