  2. :good: There are also two in Villa Rica.
  3. We use 'The Pool Place' too. Nothing but good things to say!
  4. Good Morning....we have family members here from the midwest and they are interested in shopping at some "junky" antiquey flea markets. Not the ones that sell trinkets, electronics and out of date make-up. More along the lines of old farm stuff and primitives. They also would like some paper shell pecans to take back. Don't know if those are even a possiblity this time of year. Appreciate your time and input!
  5. If you are reading this then Memorial Day is about you. It's about all the freedoms that have been afforded to you by the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice so that you may enjoy the benefits that this great nation offers. Can we pay tribute to to these people who laid down their lives for us? Compared to the price paid for these freedoms how much trouble is it to put the kids in the car and take them to a ceremony honoring our fallen servicemembers? How many can we get out there?
  6. Paulding County Sheriff Attention East Paulding Dr residents ~ People in or around the area of E. Paulding Dr may hear a series of loud explosions later this evening due to some demolition work in the area. There will be no need to become alarmed due to the controlled environment in which the explosions will take place. Please notify all of your friends and family in that area.
  7. I witnessed the PCSD take in a suspected child molester today. Thanks to Sheriff Gulledge and deputies for the great work today.
  8. The Paulding County Republican Party collected water, non-perishable food and cardboard boxes and delivered 2 truckloads yesterday. We are still collecting and will schedule another delivery soon.
  9. There will be a bottled water collection at Stars and Strikes in Paulding County today for the tornado victims in N. Georgia. Please stop by.
  10. You could rent a Georgia Buggy (a large capacity motorized wheelbarrow) to haul the concrete around.
  11. Yes I have had Ace and other independents allow me to run a tab. Trying to finish a task that may require 2 or 3 trips to the store or any number of circumstances. I just try to not be the typical surly customer complaining that I could get that part cheaper at another store. Take the time to get to know them. I don't know these people on East Paulding and wouldn't dare just walk in and ask for something on my word.
  12. Don't get me wrong, 'cause I shop HD, however if I had an Ace or another mom & pop's hardware near me I would shop there for what I could. It may be slightly higher in cost, but the rapport you tend to build with these folks is priceless. They are the backbone of what built this country and fairly or unfairly they have been put out of business by the big chains. If they refuse to keep themselves or their employees away from family after hours or on holidays just so you can shop for a new toilet seat or begonias because you already have the day off then good for them. Plan Ahead! Also, most
  13. Mine son is headed to Pendleton in a week. The boy has been pickin' my brain for all he can. LOL!!!
  14. The Marines I have seen around the world have the cleanest bodies, the filthiest minds, the highest morale, and the lowest morals of any group of animals I have ever seen. Thank God for the United States Marine Corps! Eleanor Roosevelt Marines are about the most peculiar breed of human beings I have ever witnessed. They treat their service as if it was some kind of cult, plastering their emblem on almost everything they own, making themselves up to look like insane fanatics with haircuts to ungentlemanly lengths, worshipping their Commandant almost as if he was a god, and making weird
  15. County Health Dept at the courthouse maintains these records
  16. No, No, No!!!!!!!!!!! NEVER use Crisco for that...Crisco is shortening!!!

  18. Stripper worked great until my wife found out. She ran her off and I had to complete the refinishing job myself. Just my luck
  19. Be strong for him...he'll make you proud.
  20. Welcome Aboard Marine! Thanks for keeping up the tradition. You will not fully be able to comprehend what you have entered into for some time, but just know that you have accomplished something that few ever have the courage to attempt. My stepson followed in my footsteps and graduated from Parris Island on 3 December 2010. You, him, and all Marines of today are far better educated, equipped, and trained than we were back in the day. Just know that you will have more challenges ahead. Stand tall and face them as a Marine, make no excuses and take no prisoners. As you well know the the title Ma
