Did your kids go to school last week?
North of the Border replied to frustrated's topic in RECENT TOPICS
mine went....sad thing however, is that attendance is a vital part of AYP. AYP is a strange bird and often doesnt paint a true picture of school wide success and acheivement, but it is what it is. This will make it hard for the system, but if it truly helps scores overall then it is worth it in my opinion. We will see. -
Abney Elementary - do you/your kids like it?
North of the Border replied to MamaJess's topic in RECENT TOPICS
You will be VERY happy! It still feels like community schools did prior to the population explosion. Still feels like it is representitive of the "New Hope" community and family! quote name='Oh No Its Me' timestamp='1298759097' post='3396660'] It is beautiful outside! I've got a kiddo slightly under the weather so we're missing out. Maybe I'll drag him out in a bit for some fresh air. I'm a bit sad at the thought of leaving our school but if Abney is awesome that would help with the sadness -

My parents computer is slow as christmas. Both the internet and set up. I am sure it has a bug or something. What is your rate to take a look at it, and if it is a virus what are the prices? -
Thats her. She finished PC in 88 I believe.

Why Do So Many People Give Up Their Bargaining Rights?
North of the Border replied to Eddie Bennett's topic in RECENT TOPICS
Scott Walker would get my vote. Unions in the north have crippled states. Its time they get with the real world and realize that states can not survive with the sweetheart deals they have been giving unions for years. Even democratic gov's are seeing the light and making changes. When I see that the Wisc. labor unions gave Obama hundreds of millions of dollars of their rank and files hard earned dues, I think its time to blow them up. BTW....The unions still WILL be able to have collective bargining for wages! -
I dont know...The lady seemed really sure... I wish he would get back soon!

Theme hotel in Orlando
North of the Border replied to dumbestgirlintheworld's topic in RECENT TOPICS
The value resorts are very affordable and have the same perks as other resorts. MUCH better value than staying elsewhere in my opinion. The shuttles rock! Most hotels like Nick will offer a shuttle, but they run every 1-2 hours at best. Many only pick up a few times a day. -

Very few rely on kickers, because there are few good kickers. When Chaz was at east him and the kicking game wone MANY games(especially before the explosive offense his senior year). Not to argue, but being in and around footabll 30 years I can tell you ANY high school program with a good team and a great kicker will go along way. Not only the field goals, but nearly 100% of your pat's are guranteed, and your special teams do a lot better when 80-90% of the kick-offs are touchbacks! -

You might want to watch the finals on GPB next near....When you can kick at 40-50 yards it really gives you a lot of options. -
Tech actually did pretty well in state. Gadbois was recruited heavily by Tech, but went to the team he grew up loving. BTW...UGA always gets the talent. Lets see how little they do with it again this year

My Kia was built in the USA(GEORGIA)....Where was your Ford or Chevy built? While Ford ( I own a Ford and love it as well. It is the only domestic car I would ever buy!!! No bail-out brands for me!!!) and GM continue to send jobs out of the US, Kia has put thousands of Georgians to work. BTW....Kia and Hyundai, along with VW recieved the highest safety awards of 2010! I'll take safety anyday. PSD...Very sharp car. I like it!
