I used Tinkle Targets that In bought. Then I switched to Cheerios because of convenience. They work because they do float. And they work better for boys than girls. But, he is still young. He may not be ready. If he isn't ready, it ain't gonna happen. Oh! Peeing off the porch is impressive, but they have to learn it from another male. LOL! Not easy to teach if you live in a subdivision.

I'm trying to come up with an opportunity to try it out myself.

My old job did 1/2 a day per month furlough. It didn't bite as bad that way. Still was better than the no job thing I got going on now. And, now they want to just do away with Parent-Teacher Conferences? Not sure how that will work.

Maybe they didn't hear it if the dog was being gentle and the baby was asleep. It may have been a pet door, an open door, or a screen door. We don't have that info. The puncture wounds may have come from the chase. We just don't have that info. The dog may have been removing the infant from what it perceived as a threat if the couple were arguing or something. The dog may have wanted to get rid of the noisy bundle. The dog may have been vicious and attacks smaller animals. Not enough info. Possibly parental neglect. Possibly parental potty time.

I do have a serious question, if the teachers are taking furlough days, who is going to be in the classroom those days? Won't they still be paying for a sub? If they are using teacher work days, then what about the mandatory trainings and such?

I am concerned for the infant, but if it is a case of parental neglect or putting an infant in harm by having a vicious dog in the home, that is very different than a docile family pet harming a baby by accident. They have to determine the cause as well as the effect.

I wish the control panel had on/off buttons for these forums. I hate having to go to each one and turn them on individually. A list of forums with a check box next to them would be amazing! As for these forums being open, NO! They get very nasty very quickly and would fill up the page with nonsense.

Interesting reading too. They were used to care for children and elderly. I wonder if this didn't start out as something to protect the infant. Maybe the parents were yelling or arguing. Just a thought. It sounds like violence is not a tendency these dogs have.

What is a Native American Indian dog? Just curious as to what that means. I hope the baby is going to be okay. I would like to think the dog meant no harm, but it may have felt the baby was intruding on his space, or maybe the dog thought the mother was being hurt by the baby in some manner. We don't really know. If there is a pattern of violence with the dog, then it is an issue of parenting, otherwise, it is just a horrible unexpected event.

My daughter went to her first funeral at 4 months old. Not by choice though. She refused to stay with even my mother and I was nursing. (Not kidding about the refusing thing. She was asked to leave Mother's Morning Out over it, and she made my mother get sick she was so distraught, even my MIL couldn't keep her). My son was 2 1/2 at the time. He did not attend. When my kids were 3 and almost 5, my step-father passed away. They knew it was coming, so I let them both attend. My inlaws brought them. Shortly after, we lost 2 other family members in 12 hours. I brought them to the vi

I didn't read all the answers, but here's mine. When my son progressed to "potty words", I made him go stand in the bathroom alone and raise the lid and say the words in the toilet because that is where potty words belong. It worked. He didn't like going away from everyone just to say a word. Of course, he got made at me one day and went in the bathroom and yelled a dirty word in the toilet just for me. LOL! And, trust me, if it is said around him by adults he respects, he will repeat it and he will repeat it proudly.

Thief Leaves Note, Tells Car Owner To Lock Up
PsychoMom replied to MillCreek's topic in RECENT TOPICS
I always lock my car in public. Never leave anything in sight or valuable in it. At home, we have a fenced in yard with 4 big dogs (plus 2 more sometimes). If an idiot can get by the dogs, he is welcome to the 37 cents in the car. Can't guarantee he (or she) will make it out of the driveway getting past the owners though. We all live right here together (my son and his wife live next door), and my husband's business is in the backyard. Someone is home all the time and the dogs get very protective. -
It does not necessarily mean officers will be cut. It does mean something will be though. Could be cutting programs or other expenses. It could mean the support staff. It could mean buying cheap coffee. Not clear enough to know from this. I think we will have to wait until details are decided.

I'm getting close myself. I still have about 3 months. I was wondering the same thing.

I am off to see Pat Benatar, Blondie, and The Donnas all playing together in August! CAN'T WAIT!

I'll change mine. Didn't even think about that! Thanks!

Online applications is the only way a lot of companies advertise and hire. I have been contacted by many corporations for interviews for jobs which I did not apply because they do not advertise the jobs at all, only go through the online resumes. However, I NEVER pay for those services. You can make your resume searchable without paying for it. Most companies that use recruiters pay for the recruiter, usually it is not the employee doing the paying. Just be smart about it. And keep the little money you have close to you.

It really made me mad! I am looking for a job everywhere, even in adjoining states. I have a lot of good leads, but they have so many people to interview, the process is taking forever. I can see how easy it would be for some people to fall for this crap, especially since it is from a fairly reputable job search engine. I hope they go after them quickly!

BEWARE! SCAM ON CAREERBUILDER! I have had a lot of luck getting leads on jobs and interviews from them. This person uses careerbuilder, even has careerbuilder images and an address it was sent from, but the reply address is an aol account. I have reported it to careerbuilder, but don't fall for it!

Hand-in-hand British musician & wife commit suicide together

I have always wondered why it was okay to take medicines to force your body to go through the torture and pain of a disease like cancer by prolonging your life, but it was horrible to take medicine to circumvent the horrors ahead that come with cancer. I don't mean everyone. I have very loved family members who have survived cancer, and I have those who fought bravely and lost the battle. But I remember my grandmother. An amazing woman! She was pregnant with her 4th child when her 1st husband died a slow death from cancer. She married again about 16 years later. Then she fought ca -

I know some people who work with autistic children to develop daily living skills, but I don't know if they want to be listed. I would say myself, but I am not strong in the developmental areas. I work more directly with mental health issues. -

DC Mom Accused Of Killing 4 daughters cited demons

I know. It is so sad. I have seen parents who were incredibly delusional, but the kids are still there. Unless there is a threat that can be identified, they usually can't remove the children. Sometimes, the delusions are so great, they remove them permanently. It is just a game of catching it in time. Sad. Some people should just not be allowed to have children. -
DC Mom Accused Of Killing 4 daughters cited demons

My brother walked in on his wife trying to drown their 4yo daughter (I should say EX wife). She thought the 4yo was possessed. She ended up in the hospital, he shipped both girls (3 and 4) from California back to GA to family until he was able to get out of the Air Force on a hardship. He divorced her and raised his girls alone until he remarried when they were in middle school. He had another daughter with his second wife. The older 2 girls are now in their 30s and raising families of their own. Their mother is still in California and had 2 more children who were promptly removed from h
