Great! My neck of the woods. I am about 10 minutes from the Indian Mounds.

I've interviewed with Tanner twice. Haven't heard back from them. I have had several interviews, but only a few nibbles. And most of those were iffy jobs that I felt would end up costing me money. If I don't have something by the time unemployment runs out, I have a part-time job I can take at Floyd hospital. It is just part-time and won't keep us afloat or have any benefits. I have even been looking at another part-time job, thinking I could just have a couple of part-time jobs. Still really need benefits though. That is the main reason I haven't done my own business yet.

What area do you live in? I will try to find someone close. Heck, I knew I should have opened up my center. Didn't do it yet, but it is in the idea stage. I have a place we may use even.

I have a job interview Tuesday! Get to try again.

Might be a way to get my husband to pay for a maid afterall.

I had to check. Mercer ranks 8th in the Master's programs. Good! We may be only dealing with the undergrad side right now, but at least it is something positive.

I do wish companies would send out emails about the status. Especially, if you went in for a face to face interview. I do call them, but I hate to pester them. It is a simple courtesy. And the job search does stink.

They can issue a bench warrant, but if he calls, they will probably put him on the next round, which would be in September.

Woke up and decided to call the nurse's station. My mom had to have 2 units of blood and they did surgery 1 1/2 hours ago. She told them not to call us because we wouldn't be there until it was over. UGH! I love my mother, but I am about ready to strangle her! I can't believe they did surgery without calling any of us. I was able to talk to her. She was afraid we would have an accident on the drive there. I guess I'll find out more when I get there later. Keep praying please.

Okay, now I get the bad news. They let my mom get out of bed for the first time and she became very sick again and the hemorrhaging started again. They have her back on the IVs and are bringing up blood for her. At this point, we just have to wait for morning to get here. She is still alert and talking, but this is not a good turn.

I did get lucky on the jury thing. I called and I don't have to report tomorrow after all! I am supposed to call back tomorrow night about Friday, but I already told them Friday I had to take my daughter to Macon. I think I'll call during the day and remind them about Friday so they can note it. I needed that break. Now I can go directly to the hospital tomorrow.

My mom is in the hospital. She started hemorrhaging at home, and my sister got her to the ER. She is in the hospital in Cartersville. They think it might have something to do with her colonoscopy and having some polyps removed last week. They have her stabilized and are planning more tests tomorrow. I am still on jury duty, so I am really stressed because I can't be there in the morning. I am heading up there as quickly as I can, but I may not be there when they start the testing. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. Thank you.

My son stuck a green pea up his nose when he was about 2 1/2. It had roots by the time we realized it (major gross!). He sneezed and it popped to the end of his nose. He ended up inhaling it again, so we ended up at the doctor. Then in kindergarten, he and another little boy were putting acorns in their nostrils and shooting them out. He had the sniffles, and again, inhaled it up his nose. We managed to get him to blow that one out. It shot across the room!

Some of you guys are really harping on this. And I mean those turning every comment into a religious, racist bash. You are the ones who sound pitiful. She mis-posted something. Once it was established that it was not her, you guys kept on going about the racism and such. Sad. Really sad.

Because he gets sleepy afterward.
